Proverb 3:5, Matthew 11:28-30

In the history of man, no one ever achieve success alone or were self made by relenting on his/her capacity, equally man does not exist on island. As man progresses in the journey of life, he will always need one form of assistance not by his capacity but another, an adage goes thus” “a tree does not make a forest”.
Therefore, to lean on which is phrasal verb means to rest or rely for support or comfort and the like. In the same vain, Prov. 3:5 equivocally informs that Christian should “trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”
Complementing the above chapter Matthew 11:28 states”…. and learn of me. It means you cannot depend on your understanding in order to fulfil purpose.

In the spiritual parlance who you lean on is your source of living Gen 1:27. Equally, you will always receive inspiration from the person you rest on (Isaiah 50:4); in this vain, He will always fill you with the fullness of life: John 1:16. He gives you divine direction, besides, He will always reveal classified information to you, Ps 25:14, Isaiah 40:1 “comfort ye comfort ye my people, saith your God. He comforts those that lean on Him. Besides, there are numerous benefits enjoyed by whoever leans on Jesus, the lists are inexhaustible.

The blessings attached to leaning on our Lord are uncountable. Then i ask, who are you leaning on? Understand this, the Holy word cannot be broken, precept upon precept and line upon line, there are many who absolutely depend on God even when the situation will almost consume them, these are example for us to learn. For instance Hannah was barren, she looked unto God, even when her adversary provoked her yet she didn’t look unto man but God.1Samuel 1:5-10
The woman with the issue of blood in Matthew 9: 20-22-The woman had issue of blood for twelve years, could you envisage her pangs emotionally, the amount she would have spent before she finally met the SOLUTION – JESUS.
In Mark 1: 40-42, a man with leprosy was cleansed because he relied on Jesus for healing.
They all leaned on God for their desired miracle, not on man. Hear the instruction of
prophet Isaiah, he emphatically said “cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of” Isaiah 2:22. Rest on God all the time and victory shall be yours in the mighty name of Jesus.
