I AM WITH YOU
Let me begin with this certification in deed and in truth by noting that the import of the above statement that I AM WITH YOU is such that is yet to be understood by many Christian.
In many instances and in many passages of the Holy Scripture, this statement is replete. How so weighty this statement is. How? First it commits God to any situation or to anyone to which and to whom the statement is applied. Second, it is the signature of the Almighty over any and every situation over which it is pronounced.
Israel’s furnace of affliction in Egypt was so great and so intense that their doom was certain but for the fact that God Almighty was with them. No wonder! It is written: “Behold, the bush burned with fire, but the bush was not consumed”; alas! It is because I AM WITH YOU.
Ask Joseph, the son of Jacob and him who became the Prime Minister of Egypt, how he moved from being a common prisoner to becoming a palace commander and the financial ruler of the greatest civilization at the time. Joseph would provide no other answer other than the fact that God was with him; I AM with you.
Ah! How I wish and at the same time, pray that Christians would understand that merely saying, “Lord, please be with me as I embark on this journey,” “O God, please be with me as I retire to bed tonight,” Or “dear father, please be with me in this marriage or business,” will do the same miracle and would even open up doors of revelations as though one prayed for one hour or more.
Is there no reason why the name of the Lord as was prophesied by prophet Isaiah is Emmanuel meaning “God with us?” Having handed down instructions concerning the great commission in Matthew chapter 28:18-20, The Lord Jesus concluded by saying, “And lo, I AM WITH YOU even unto the end of the world.”
If God was invited into a business, would the business fail? If God was invited into the life of the sick fellow, would there not be a change? How about inviting God into our finances?
The great Man of God, prophet Moses knew too well about the mystery behind “God with us.” Amidst many other fact which he knew, Moses was sure that ‘I AM WITH YOU” means and ushers in the presence of the Almighty (Ex.33:14-15).
IN THE END, NO MATTER HOW TOUGH THE SITUATION HAS COME TO be: SIMPLY INVITE GOD TODAY INTO THE SITUATION. I DID SO IN MY UNDERGRADUATE DAYS ON A DAY THAT THE OUTCOME AWAITING ME WAS DISGRACE AND DISAPPOINTMENT BUT DIVINE APPOINTMENT WAS THE RESULT IN THE END. AND SINCE THEN, IT IS STILL WORKING FOR ME. THEREFORE, START AFRESH WITH GOD TODAY.

Question: The great questions again! When was the last time you preached to any soul? Do you serve God with joyful heart or with reluctance? How much hurt is in your soul against that fellow? Won’t rather forgive them and forget their mischief so that you can rightly serve your loving Father? When was the last time you smiled genuinely and truly from your heart about yourself bearing in mind the bright days to come? when was the last time you heard a force praying within your belly without your consciousness? When was the last time you gave something to support God’s work apart from your tithes and offerings? When was the last time you supported any man to fulfill a divine or a personal agenda? When was the last time you put smile on the face of someone?
Answer: Hmmm!
