THE POWER OF DIVINE INCREASE

Of the mighty things the great God of heaven and earth has done and can do for mankind, one prayer/prophecy remains unanswered and unfulfilled for many Christians. This is the one prayer/prophecy pronounced by the Holy God in His Holy word as contained in Psalm chapter 71 verse 21.
It reads: ‘thou shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side’. It is a marveling wonder and such wonder that attempts to castigates the infallible word and pristine character of the Almighty when Christians – the controllers of the ends of the universe live below the average. Put more aptly, Christians are the poorest in town.
Shall I shock us with certain statistics? Do you know that there are more poor pastors than the Alhajis and moslem clerics. The easy wayout by many Christians is to say that moslems are idol worshipers or worshipers of satan. Therefore, satan paves the way for them to be prosperous.
Permit my language please! But such conclusion is spuriously stupid. The truth is assuming moslem clerics and alhaji worship satan, and as such, satan meets their needs, the consonant and most correct question is “can’t the Christian God do same”?
Understand this O Christian! Romans chapter 2:11 states that ‘God is no respecter of persons’. Although the Almighty respects no person, without an iota of doubt, it is a statement of spiritual fact that the Almighty respects something. And what could that be? God is a respecter of His principles. Whether an idol worshiper or a worshiper of the Almighty, whoever puts God’s principles into practice is sure to have excellent results. The truth remains this: that many moslem clerics and Alhajis are great givers.
There was the story about the President of a major great country in West Africa who was a christian. One day, his sister visited the Presidential villa. On her departure, her brother, the President, gave her fifty thousand of the currency of that country. As soon as she left her brother’s office, she visited the Vice President who is a moslem. To her amazement, the Vice President to her brother, the President, gave her one million. Please consider the percentage difference.
Let us not be deceived; giving beget giving. Besides this, there are principles which must be applied prior to and after giving.
Principle 1: Realise that Giving reproduces giving. Therefore, if a man must get he must give.
Principle 2: Giving journeys with joyful heart and trending faith in God.
Principle 3: Givers must set limits to giving becauase most times, takers have no limits. The territorial borders of most takers or receivers is ever expanding. As such, givers must budgetarily define the ambits of their giving. For sometimes, some givings are nothing more than senseless givings.
Principle 4: To every giving, there must be a prophetic/pastoral declaration or giving in return. Remember Gen.14:18-20.
Principle 5: There are persons and institutions that automatically beckon for our giving and whose rewards equally come with automaticity. (a) Take care of your biological parents and (b) give to your spiritual parents. The fact that your mummy is a witch does not mandate you to cease from putting smiles on their faces by dint of giving.
Both the contents of 1 Corinthians 9:11 and Romans 15:27 enjoins us to be rich by enriching our spiritual fathers with our material substances. Understand then what trigger the Apostle Paul’s pronouncement in Phil.4:19. A close examination of the previous verse reveals that the Apostle Paul had first received gifts from the Philippians through Epaphroditus before giving them blessings by prophetic declaration.
It is the same principle in clear application in Zech.8:12. It reads: ‘for the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things’.
As Zech.8:13 instructs: there is an injunction which the giver must constantly follow. It is the injunction that the hand of the giver must be continually strong in prayer and in well doing. For who can harm you if you are a doer of that which is good (1 Pet.3:13). As the art and the act of giving is clearly conditioned under Zech.8:12-13, the same is the injunction with Apostle Paul and the Philippians. It is the precondition of giving to the Man of God for he is the minister of God watching out for your soul.
Principle 5(c)Do not neglect the orphans/orphanages, widows, the handicapped, the poor and the aged. Whoever gives to any of these ones is lending his/her giving onto God.
Principle 5(d) Never give to people who are enemies of the gospel who may in turn use your gifts to further the destruction of the gospel of Christ. Be not partakers of other men’s sins (1 Tim.5:22).
Principle 5(e) Nothing can you contribute to the kingdom of God- church, fellowship, etc, which will not attract glorious blessings instantly, overtime and through time.

IN THE END, WHAT WILL YOU DO TO THIS SERMON? IGNORE, INFORM YOURSELF BETTER AND BE WISER AND RICHER OR INFLICT YOURSELF AND OTHERS WITH CONTRARY OPINIONS.
IN THE END OF THE VERY END, NEVER GIVE WHEN GOD SAYS NO. DON’T GIVE LATER WHEN GOD SAYS NOW. NEVER LOAN OUT THE MONEY THAT YOU CANNOT FREELY GIVE. NEVER FORM PARTNERSHIP WITH ANYONE WHEN GOD SAYS YOUR STAR IS A LONE STAR. FOR WHERE YOU ARE LONE STAR, THEN GOD IS YOUR LONE PARTNER.AND WITH ALL THESE PRINCIPLES IN PLACE, THE POWER OF DIVINE IS CERTAIN TO DEFEND UPON THE CHRISTAIN.

Question and Answer Section
Question: The great questions again! When was the last time that you preached to any soul? Do you serve God with joyful heart or with reluctance? How much hurt is in your soul against that fellow? Won’t rather forgive them and forget their mischief so that you can rightly serve your loving Father? When was the last time you smiled genuinely and truly from your heart about yourself bearing in mind the bright days to come? when was the last time you heard a force praying within your belly without your consciousness? When was the last time you gave some thing to support God’s work apart from your tithes and offerings? When was the last time you supported any man to fulfill a divine or a personal agenda? When was the last time you put smile on the face of someone?
Answer: Hmmm!.
