THE PRIMACY CONTEST BETWEEN THE POWER OF GOD AND THE KINGDOM OF NO

Ever wonder why the Psalmist wrote in verse 19 of our second text that: ‘God hath established His throne in heaven and His kingdom ruleth over all’? Certainly, it could not just be because the pages of the Bible needed to be filled up with some words. For every word penned down in the Bible or even His spoken word is always with reason.

So then, among many other interpretations that may be ascribed to verse 19 of Psalm 103, one interpretation would inform us that the core message of this verse is that there are more than one kingdom in existence.

Since paragraph b of verse 19 concludes by stating that: ‘and His kingdom ruleth over all’, in my informed opinion, there are certainly three kingdoms within the realms of existence. First is the kingdom of God. Next is the kingdom of men. Finally, there is the kingdom of darkness also known as the kingdom of NO. Understand the constructive syntax of the word ‘rule’ or ‘ruleth’ used in the same verse 19. In the one sense, it means that kingdom represent authority or power. Why? For there to be some form of rulership, there must exist an authority conferring power to exercise control or ruling force.

Of course, for there to exist a kingdom, there must be a governing monarch, a throne exercising authority, power and rulership for paramount or absolute domination. Domination, because the word ‘kingdom’ is a composition of two words: king and domane—exercise total control over its subjects within its domane.

Understand further that when there is a contest between two kingdoms or between subjects of two separate kingdoms, it is the authority, power, rulership and ultimately the glory of the kingdoms and the presiding kings that is being challenged. So then, let me announce to you that every power, authority and rulership attacking you is attacking the glory and the authority of the king under whose kingdom you belong.

As a Christian therefore, whatever negative force or situation confronting you today is challenging the glory and authority of Christ. This foregoing statement has further implication of a most serious nature. It is the fact that it is spiritually absurd for a Christian to personalize any battle such Christian is going through.

For whether directly or indirectly, any stormy situation or oppression of the enemy confronting any Christian is confronting Christ with a view to bring down the glory of Christ, disgrace Christ and Christ’s power and to inform that Christian that Christ can do nothing in times of unfriendly situations and unkind oppressions of the enemy.

What do you think? That Christ will remain quiet perpetually? No, not the Son of God that I know. Every kingdom in contest with each other seeks primacy over the other. Do you think Christ will fold His hands and watch the enemy prevail? The enemy has had a field day until now. Watch out for the next and watch out for what will be the summary of your life. Pray for the swift and successful marriages of sisters Ann, Tosin and every other sister trusting the Lord in this respect (this Ann & Tosin,i know not but please pray for them fervently with a heart of not taking ‘No’ for an answer). Please pray. I plead with you now for their times are swiftly running. Pray fervently now.
