COVENANT BREAKTHROUGH SERVICE

Covenant Theme: ENJOYING THE GIVEN POSSESSION AND FURTHER RECOVERY BY EXTREME VIOLENCE;

Vigil/Monthly Scripture: Job 38:12-13, Nehemiah 5:11, Matthew 11:12;

1. Read the following Scriptures aloud in proclamation of the awesomeness of the Almighty: Hebrews 11, Psalms 50 and 93.

2. Confession: read Isaiah 49 aloud (and say):

‘Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O Thou Most High.

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise His word, In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. Shall they escape by iniquity? In thine anger cast down the people O God.

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; that God is for me; in God will I praise His word: in the Lord will I praise His word. In God I have put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?’

Eternal Reality of all ages, let these words of the Holy Scripture that I have declared sanctify my tongue tonight, counter the power of the evil man assigned from time to time to hinder my prayers. I therefore address the heavens by the word of the Lord, let your doors be opened now to the receiving of my prayers.

O web of darkness, I release by faith the fire of the Almighty to consume you and your operator. God is still on high and His power has not by a moment been reduced. Shall God on high indeed experience shame? Seeing that there are human adversaries not far on assignment to continually hinder prayers and stop the flow of testimonies from the well of God. Ah! the Mighty One of Jacob says: ‘and my people shall never be ashamed’. Shall He then who promised the lack of shame experience shame? No! O God. If therefore, the Eternal Reality, Holy One of Jacob will not experience shame, then let the course of my direction in life from this take a fresh turn of greatness and let the evil one saddled with evil responsibility, be cut off and be no more shortly. I travel O God, by your extreme mercy into a month of double grace. Let me be a candidate and product of grace. By grace, I tread down every opposition. By grace, I overcome evil assignments. By grace, I move forward with a new compass, in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.

3. Read Job.14:7-9 and give God quality praise for indeed for you hope shall mature into great testimonies in reality.

Pray now:

  • Father in heaven, clothe me with your presence and let it not depart from me.
  • O God, empower me to leave this world with indelible marks for my generation and the kingdom of God.
  • O old dry serpent of my father and mother’s household, lose your grip from my life by fire.
  • My destiny, come out from your hiding place and shine.
  • The death that is meant for me shall become the lot of the evil planners.
  • Holy Spirit, give my divine helpers no rest and no peace until they locate me and help me.
  • Mighty One of Jacob, by your mercy and your power, recover for me every breakthrough held up in the traffic of life since the start of this year.
  • As this year runs speedily to an end, I shall not weep over any of my loved ones and myself.
  • O God, what you will do in my life that the world would say to me: indeed, this is the hand of God, do them for me before this year expires.
  • By the Spirit of the Most High, I decree: you the last quarter of 2017, you are months of recovery, celebration and loud announcement for me and my household.
  • O God, I shall not regret coming to this planet.
  • Pregnant clouds of blessings and you swollen waters of divine breakthroughs, offload my blessings and breakthrough now.
  • I shall not be terminated before my time.
  • Every evil meeting that has been held, is being held or that will be held against me before the end of this year and quarter, you shall not prosper.
  • O Thou protocol breaker for good, rewrite my financial story this month.
  • O spiritual garment of glory and greatness with which I arrive on this planet; where are you? Where are you? Return to me because I am your owner by God.
  • O my soul, find rest in this new moon.

(Matthew 24:1-end)

The Last Days

When the disciples asked our Lord Jesus Christ what the sign of his coming will be and the end of the world, what was the Lord’s response? Matthew 24:4-8 (KJV) says;

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Brethren, we need to take heed for the end is near. Can we see these signs around us already? Hmmmm….verse 8 says these are the beginning of sorrows.

I was reading this scripture yesterday after reading the news about the disasters and I cried to God to please save my soul and help me to finish well and strong. The beginning of a thing does not matter brethren, it is the end that matters.

POWER, POSITION AND TITLES WITHOUT PURITY ARE BUT MERE LABELS ON BOTTLES: THEY MAKE NO SENSE AFTER ALL

(Part 2)

 

Last week’s edition of this magazine referred to three topics of great importance namely:

(1) knowing one’s God-given limits and being at one’s best within one’s spiritual parameters (Judges.9:8-15). 

(2) The unconscionable thirst for occupying spiritual position, possession of spiritual power but without any desire for sound spiritual purity (Judges.9:1-6, 15, 30-55). And

(3) the mystery of Gerizin.

Having dealt with the first topic during the previous edition, it is onto the next topic that this edition will now turn.

By means of anointing, a congregation can be gathered and increased. By dint of flawed character, the same congregation can be scattered or decreased. Why? Inner purity is the active machinery and the necessary lubricating oil for driving the wheels of character. If inner purity fails or is found to be in total absence in a man, character is equally in absolute disarray. Thus the presence or absence of purity dictates the shades of outward characters of a man at any given time.

I dare conclude at this point that irrespective of eloquence, charisma and volumes of knowledge or experience possessed in a man, such a man cannot go so far without characters/attitudes that can stand tall in the face of life’s storm. For even a dint of flaw in character can corrupt the tallest anointing. Life’s storm is an invisible but felt classroom where every character of every man is put to the test. The result of this test is always and will always be decided by the absence or presence of purity.

KNOWING YOUR GOD-GIVEN LIMIT AND BEING THE BEST AT IT

Part of the unquestioned characteristics of any finished product which makes it distinct from its raw material is its beauty and its better output. Gold for example in its raw state cannot be compared to what it turns out to be after it excels the test of fire.

Today’s texts like many other texts and stories are spiritual guides to avert the pits that those who existed in Bible days fell into. But is it not a great tragedy that contemporary Christians are despite Scriptural warnings still treading the same tragic paths?

A close study of today’s texts under a spiritual magnifier reveals three serious topics for this contemporary time. First is knowing one’s God-given limits and being at one’s best within one’s spiritual parameters.

Second is the unconscionable thirst for occupying spiritual position, possession of spiritual power but without any desire for sound spiritual purity. Third is the mystery of Gerizin.

HAPPINESS BEGET SUCCESS NOT OTHERWISE

The footballing world stood in utter amazement last week Thursday. Not because the transfer window for sales, transfers or loans of players from one football club to another finally came to a close, but because Alex Oxley Chamberlain shocked the footballing world with his applaudable personal philosophy.
This outstanding player, Alex Oxley Chamberlain was until Thursday, August 31, an Arsenal FC central midfield player. Facts have it that all efforts made by Arsenal FC to retain him as their player for the ongoing season proved abortive.
Indeed, a pay-rise of E180,000 (one hundred and eighty thousand Pounds) was offered to Chamberlain. But to everyone’s utter-shock, this pay-rise was turned down. Instead, the player opted to move to another football club, Liverpool FC for a pay-cut of E60,000 (sixty thousand Pounds ) less.
Unbelievable you will say! Accepting E120,000 (one hundred and twenty thousand Pounds) in the stead of E180,000 (one hundred and eighty thousand pounds). What could really have informed this somewhat bizarre decision by the calculation of many?
When Alex Oxley Chamberlain was questioned for his reason to turn in the direction of a lesser pay, his response was attention-sustaining for the thoughtful. Chamberlain noted: ‘it is happiness that breeds success; success does not bring happiness. I took the decision because of peace’.Continue reading →
