Therefore, that travel meant for my progress will now happen with effortless ease. The hands that confined me to a single spot are withered and shall exist no further. WHO IS JESUS TO YOU

THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 3, No. 30 – Monday, 30th July, 2018

(John 10:27-28)
WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?

A fierce battle had taken place between the armies of two nations. Expectedly, the fierceness of the battle recorded a number of casualties. In order to ascertain the possibility of revival of some sort for any of the casualties, a medical doctor was called onto the bloody battlefield. Whilst the doctor made his way through the many casualties especially the seriously wounded and the dead, he could hear a young soldier saying from a nearby distance: “I am here”, “I am here”.

The Doctor moved quickly towards his direction and inquired: “yes, how can I help you? I am a medical doctor”. To the doctor’s amazing shock, the response of the young soldier was just too baffling for his comprehension. The young soldier replied the doctor. “I was not calling for you sir. I heard a roll-call being made in heaven, and my name was mentioned. I am responding to the heavenly roll-call, not for your attention”.

Shortly afterwards, the young soldier breathed his last breath and passed on to eternity. Hmmm! So touching and very thoughtful! The young soldier knew the voice of his Master, Christ Jesus. What a true reflection of the reality of John 10:27-28. That was the account of the young soldier. The question is:do you know Him? If you know Him, then who is He to you?

THE PRIMACY CONTEST BETWEEN THE POWER OF GOD AND THE KINGDOM OF NO

THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 3, No. 30 – Monday, 23rd July, 2018

(Jeremiah 46:25, Psalms 103:17-19)

THE PRIMACY CONTEST BETWEEN THE POWER OF GOD AND THE KINGDOM OF NO

Ever wonder why the Psalmist wrote in verse 19 of our second text that: ‘God hath established His throne in heaven and His kingdom ruleth over all’? Certainly, it could not just be because the pages of the Bible needed to be filled up with some words. For every word penned down in the Bible or even His spoken word is always with reason.

So then, among many other interpretations that may be ascribed to verse 19 of Psalm 103, one interpretation would inform us that the core message of this verse is that there are more than one kingdom in existence.

Since paragraph b of verse 19 concludes by stating that: ‘and His kingdom ruleth over all’, in my informed opinion, there are certainly three kingdoms within the realms of existence. First is the kingdom of God. Next is the kingdom of men. Finally, there is the kingdom of darkness also known as the kingdom of NO. Understand the constructive syntax of the word ‘rule’ or ‘ruleth’ used in the same verse 19. In the one sense, it means that kingdom represent authority or power. Why? For there to be some form of rulership, there must exist an authority conferring power to exercise control or ruling force.

Of course, for there to exist a kingdom, there must be a governing monarch, a throne exercising authority, power and rulership for paramount or absolute domination. Domination, because the word ‘kingdom’ is a composition of two words: king and domane—exercise total control over its subjects within its domane.

HOLD ON AND HOLD OUT

THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 3, No. 29 – Monday, 16th July, 2018

(Hebrew.10:22-39, Revelation.3:10-13)
HOLD ON AND HOLD OUT

Welcome to another edition of The Message Now. Much praise to the ever faithful God who has never ceased to give us words and insight to encourage us through the medium of this magazine. Please note that all the above verses are necessary for our spiritual consumption through diligent reading and purposeful meditation.

When seeking what lectures to attend on the subject of holding on and not just holding on but also holding out, the best lecture room will no doubt be that of Abraham, the friend of the Almighty (Rom.4:17-25).

Note dear believer that elasticity in faith is a key component of being a companion of God Almighty. Those who possess this spiritual character of elasticity in faith are the ones who will reign with Him in the end.

Several voices both from within me and from without greeted my days as a Ph.D student. Their messages were obvious: quit this tempestuous programme. Humanly speaking, I gave it all up but God in me refused.

Is it not shocking that nothing sensible was put down by me in writing until about the 35th month of the 36-month-Ph.D programme? I remember that faithful Sunday morning, a lady who had been a serious drug-addict but who was now delivered by God ministered to us.

The central theme of her song ministration was ‘hold on’. The message was direct—I knew God was speaking to me. Those days were the most bitter days of my Ph.D programme. But having listen to that touching ministration, I made up my mind to hold tightly to the garments of the Almighty to see me through that phase of my life.

PATIENCE (AS RELATED TO FASTING)

THE MESSAGE NOW
VOL. 3 No. 27 Monday 9 July 2018
Isaiah 40:31, Habakkuk 2:3
PATIENCE (AS RELATED TO FASTING)

From our text of today, we see that the two passages talked about waiting. Now we must understand that waiting is important in life for us to reach to our goal. Patience is not to say that it will not come it simply says wait.

Also understand that fasting is denying yourself in order to receive from the Almighty. It is commonly said that good things come to those who wait, but the question is; who is ready to wait?

Let me put it to you now that whatever you want will cost you something:You want a major breakthrough? It will cost you to be obedient to patience(Luke 5:4-6). Imagine what would have happened If Peter had said to Jesus he was busy and could not allow Him use his boat and had even told Him that it was a wrong time to fish;by the way Jesus was not a fisherman. Peter would have gone home unfulfilled.

I want you to see this fasting as an exercise that will launch you to your Breakthrough, Open doors to greatness and Divine Upliftment.

IN THE END: FASTING CALLS FOR GOD’S ATTENTION THAT THERE IS A NEED THAT MUST BE MET. IN THIS SEASON OF WAITING GOD WILL VISIT YOU SPECIALLY IN JESUS NAME. (Amen)

WHAT WOULD PRAISES DO?

THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 3, No. 27 – Monday, 2nd July, 2018

(Psalm 66 and 92)

WHAT WOULD PRAISES DO?

Certain facts about praises can be most daunting to say the least. One of such daunting fact is the fact that there is no better time to appreciate God but in moments when it seems God is asleep. How so difficult such is.

If only the knowledge that the ‘keeper of Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers’ has formed a Rhema understanding in us, then we will know (not just believe) that the Lord is constantly thinking about His own.

The year 2018 is already gone halfway. Perhaps all you have recorded this year are the testimonies of other people, and not yours. Permit me to remind you about the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 145:9. It reads: ‘God is good to all that He has made and His tender mercies are over all His works’. Know this for a certainty that if God has been good to those people whose testimonies you know, know that He that is good to one has a track-record of being good to everyone.

My brother, my sister, your time is at the door. Delay is never denial. If there is one thing most needful: it is that thing which has the power to shake the heaven including the hands of the Almighty. Beloved, look away from the storm and rather give God His rightful food—the fruits of your lips flowing from a treated heart of righteousness.

If you forget everything about praising God, don’t forget that it is the most potent spiritual weapon able to reverse the irreversible, retrieve the glory and good things of the past to become the realities of today, reclaim every stolen and missing goodness of the past and present and rewrite the wrongs of the past and present which could have affected the future.

IN THE END, KNOW THAT GOD RIDES OVER ALL PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES WHEN PRAISES IS IN TOP-GEAR.

Question and Answer Session:
Question: Who was the youngest king in the Bible and how old was he?
Answer: Joash was the youngest king in the Entire Bible accounts and he was seven years old when he became king over Israel (2 Kings 11:21, 2 Chronicles 24:1).
