THE POWER OF DIVISION AND SATAN’S SECOND RETURN

If there is any chapter of the Bible that one is permitted to refer to as the chapter of division, then it just cannot be any other but Acts chapter 15. As far as record is concerned, satan began his attack of division right from the opening verse.
If there is any weapon potent enough to break the strongest fortress asunder, it is the weapon of division. The question is why is it so easily the case? The simple answer is that division is often subtle and is often countenanced as no sin. Certainly, men are so oblivious of it, and as such, men do not perceive it in the nature of men’s ordinary considerations of sin generally.
But it is the perfect antithesis of unity. The weapon of division is so strong that even the weapon of the unity of faith cannot stand before it. Satan’s weapon of division and division of every kind respects and bows only before the power of the unity of love. Here is the blunt truth; dissension otherwise called argumentation or discord is always the trigger point of all division.
Everything is present in every dissension or argumentation except one thing which is always absent. That one thing which is ever absent in every dissension, argumentation or discord is God. One lone and foremost reason why satan has a field day during every dissension is the atmosphere of malice which it promotes.

Unfortunately, the arena of malice is satan’s thriving point. On the contrary, God cannot thrive in an atmosphere of malice. The moment the seed of malice is sown through dissension, discord or argument, peace, love, joy, faith, miracles and indeed God Almighty flees out of that environment. Then the duo of dissension and malice merge in satanic union and end up with the birth of division.

It was reported about a church in the U.S. in 1999 where there arose a dissention between a pastor and his assistant. When the church service began, the church was so divided that the praise-worship was done by two different groups at the same time within the same church hall springing up two choir masters and two group of choristers at the same time. Then the two pastors started preaching at the same time. And, in the end, the two pastors got themselves into fist exchange (boxing ring) before the church congregation.
What a shame you will say! But such is the power of division. When a church has lost its foresight and foremost mandate and vision, then what is left is simply fleshly. And when the flesh has taken over, you can be sure of one thing, the Holy Spirit is already out of the window. I have said and will reiterate again. Why is it that when people want to form their church, they must first of all scatter their present church? Couldn’t things be done with peace and order? Must you go with your original church’s congregation?
If God truly called you, is He not able to give you your own congregation? Wicked and immature brother claiming the Call of God; are you truly called of God? If God truly called you why is it that your selling and trigger point is discord?
Ah! I cannot disagree with the fact that division founds it root and comfort in the flesh. Let us educate ourselves for once. I agree that sometimes differences in church convictions, doctrines and beliefs can raise certain questions. But should these divide the body of the Lord? Any action which divides the body of the Lord is an action which lacks love. What lacks love lacks God because ‘God is love and in Him is no darkness’(1John 4:8).
But besides this, let us ask ourselves simply academic question. Even if there is no unity of belief because of our human frailties and limited understanding, can’t there be the unity of love? Must I hate the RCCG brother or the MFM sister or the Deeper Life woman or the Elim Pentecostal man because of the difference in church style of worship or belief? Is Christ divided?

Satan’s power of division has made us to forsake the original and common cause. Our enemy is satan, self and sin not ourselves. There is yet one more spiritual truism about satanically-ochestrated division.
When satan afflicts a friend, a congregation or organization of any sort with division and that friendship, congregation or organization succeeded in warding off that satanic onslaught, be at serious alert through travailing prayers with a heart well festered with love. Why? Because he, satan is returning with fiercer attack on the same course.
Watch out! In Acts chapter 15, the church at Antioch was initially divided over the issue of circumcision. Thankfully, the Apostles (in the church at Jerusalem) resolved the contention and dissension by the help of the Holy Spirit. The question is, did satan relax? Check the sad event between two Apostles – Paul and Barnabas from verses 35-41 of the same chapter of the book of Acts.
Notice the following facts that:
(1) both Paul and Barnabas were Apostles (Acts.14:4, 14).
(2) These two apostles were men who hazarded their lives because of the cause of the gospel.
(3) What ignited the fire of division was a simple matter which, in fact, goes to no issue at all.
(4) Following the above facts, one must conclude that the power of division has no regard for even the height of spiritual hierarchy, authority and position.
(5) Satanic division is a destroyer of both individual and collective destiny.

Please permit me to mention a great Man of God, Pastor Falore. This awesome Man of God was one of the founding fathers of the Deeper Life Bible Church. In fact, he was the great Man of God who took Deeper Life Bible Church to the nation of Togo. He was so great a Man of God that Yasingbe Iyadema (the then President of Togo) tried his best to kill him.
But he was such a super Man of God – a type of Apostle Paul in that nation of Togo at the time. With great respect to this awesome Man of God, one of his fundamental problems in words and in approach was that he had little regard for the presiding Man of God, Apostle William Folorunsho Kumuyi. Pastor Falore finally left the church in certain circumstances that could have been better. And that marked the end of his thriving ministry and glory.
Returning, then, to the dissension between Apostles Paul and Barnabas. Recall that that division between the two marked the end of Barnabas’ ministry. Ah! Alas! The spirit and satanic power of division is a foremost destroyer of destiny. Recall also that this same Apostle Barnabas was a mentor to Apostle Paul shortly after his conversion (Acts.9:27-30). Recall also that Apostle Barnabas was a Man of God described by the Bible as being ‘a good man, full of the Holy Spirit’ and of faith (Acts.11:22-26).
How then could the power of division lead him astray? Have you done a deep research into academic spirituality? And did you find out that there is a book titled ‘the gospel according to Saint Barnabas?’ Oh! It is true. The enemy cashed on the division that took place then at Antioch to formulate a false gospel. It is believed that that false gospel was written by the moslems at some point.
Do you see what division can cause? It introduced falsehood, heresy and fallacy into spirituality of a manifest divine kind. Notice that satan does not just target a-nobody with the spirit of division. No! his key targets are always specific pillars of any given friendship, group, congregation or organization who occupy key positions in that friendship, group, congregation or organization.

Have you equally noticed that the most influential and the most spiritual are often his target? Watch it brother! Spirituality does not always mean being infested with Christ-like love. Consider the divine instructions contained in 1 Cor.13:1-13. The most fervent prayer is not the start point for defeating the wicked satanic power of division. The start point is always a heart regenerated by sanctification/genuine holiness and such a heart so rich in the love of Christ. The question today is where do you stand in all these?
Will God mark you as the one who divided His body at any point? Or will you be that brother or that sister demonstrating the love of God? It is time to unite more. It is time to love more. It is time to pray more. Help that brother in the church or even else where who is always attired in the same clothing, not your pastor all the time.
Take care of your pastor (1 Cor.9:11); he stands before God on your behalf. Pastor! Feed the church with the good word of God. Wrestle in the place of prayer for the flock. Spend Christ’s money and love and even your own self for the flock over which you have been made an overseer. Let everyone mind the same thing and seek unity of purpose, propelled by love, exuberating in diversity.

IN THE END, A DIVISIVE MAN IS A WELL OF WICKED DIVIDING SCHEMES. SUCH A MAN IS A PERFECT ENEMY OF GOD. A DIVIDED CONGREGATION IS A DEFEATED ASSEMBLY. IT IS THE SATANIC WATERS OF EVIL SPEAKING AND HATRED THAT WILL HARVEST THAT CONGREGATION IN THE END.

THE MYSTERY AND THE MESSAGE OF THE ‘SHOULDER’

It is never enough to receive the Call of God or the Call to leadership but unraveling the mystery behind the Call is far much more important. But for king Saul, it was disaster all the way because he failed in understanding and equally failed to ask questions that would have bettered his understanding.
1 Samuel chapter 9:22-24 states:
22 ‘And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which were about thirty persons.
23 And Samuel said unto the cook, bring the portion which I gave thee, of which I said unto thee, Set it by thee.
24 And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! Set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day’.

Surprising! Of every part of an animal’s body to be offered as food, no other part could be given eating consideration but the shoulder! The reason for my shock is none other but the fact that the shoulder part of the body is full of bones and not just bones but very hard bones.
I would have thought that the essence of eating any meat is for comfort and enjoyment. Should eating then be encumbered with struggling and the engagement of war with bones? But when God and God through His prophet takes a step, there is and will always be a mystery and a message behind that step.
To start with, it was true that Saul was by shoulder taller than every living soul in Israel at the time he met prophet Samuel through to the moment in which he became the king of Israel(1 Sam.9:2). But underlying this fact is a much deeper revelation.
Michael Bolton’s song ‘lean on me when you are not strong I’ll be your friend I’ll help you carry on. For it won’t be long you gonna need someone to lean on’ is a contemporary answer to this deep spiritual mystery.

The role of kingship is to shoulder the responsibility of the kingdom. In the right and non-political sense, the flipside of kingship or leadership is expectedly burden-bearing. The cries of the citizenery were supposed to be the King’s utmost concern.
King Saul and indeed any leader’s shoulder is a leaning point for all followers. Since life is a containment of no vacuum but a containment of the defining principle of reciprocity, shouldering the responsibilities of the people under one’s leadership outfit would automatically call for their support.

Dear brother and dear sister, do you have a shoulder full of grace for shouldering people’s concerns. How do you respond to people in crisis even those who have hurt you? Oh! God asked the prophet Samuel to give Saul the shoulder part because of the task that was ahead of him. But instead of being  a shoulder bearing the burden of the people of God, he rather made himself burden to the people (1 Sam.8:11-18). Thus king Saul failed in his divine assignment.
Understand beloved that words of comfort and consolation in times of crisis are worth much more than a bank vault full of money and the many golds and diamond piled up in secure safe.
Kenny Rogers quipped, ‘there is always one for everyone’. Without doubt, no man is an island onto himself alone. No one can do it all alone. No one knows it all. Everyone needs someone. No one can do without anyone. It all answers to the principle of reciprocity.
If others cannot lean on us, we ourselves will have no one to lean on when the need arises. Give for a course. Sow into people’s lives. Encourage a soul today. You never can tell, that soul might be preparing to return home that day only to commit suicide. Pray for someone in your little corner. Someone too will return that gesture to you at some point.

IN THE END, HAD KING SAUL GOT A HEART OF COMPASSION, HIS SHOULDER WOULD HAVE BEEN LOWERED IN ORDER TO SHOULDER THE PEOPLE’S BURDEN. BUT ALAS! HIS SHOULDER WAS SIMPLY HIGH UP THERE. HE FORGOT THAT THE WAY UP THE LADDER OF GREATNESS AND SUCCESS IN LEADERSHIP IS DOWN. HE WAS GIVEN THE SHOULDER TO EAT (THAT IS, TO CONQUER IT) AND BEND LOW. BUT HE DID NOT GET THE MYSTERY NOR THE MESSAGE CONTAINED IN THE MYSTERY. SO, HE FAILED WOEFULLY. DO IT DIFFERENTLY FROM THE WAYS OF KING SAUL.

ENVY AND DECEITFUL PRAISE OF MEN

It was at some point in 2009, newsweek Magazine reported a list of twelve greatest men on the face of the earth who have had positive impacts on a large variety of people. The list included the Pope and of course, Apostle Enoch Adejare Adeboye. In addition, Apostle Enoch Adebare Adeboye equally doubled as the lone black man on that list.
This cannot be shocking to anyone. He is the world wide General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He sits as the presiding minister and the number one person over the largest human congregation of Christians on earth. He is a global prophet, a mentor of too many, an author, a Ph.D holder in mathematics and amidst many other qualifications, he is a child of God.
What an array of achievements! But achievements, we must understand are always accompanied by greatness, glory and of course envious persecutions which could come in diverse forms. Ah! Are you shocked this time by the mention of ‘persecution?’ Have you forgotten the words of the Master in Mark chapter 10:29-30?
For quite sometime now, pastors, politicians, opinion speakers and leaders have taken out turns to speak ill about this admirable Man of God, Apostle E.A. Adeboye. The same envious affront was suffered by king David in the hands of Shimei of the household of Saul. But consider the response from king David.
King David, a prophet, a priest, a chief choir master, a conquer many territories, a Man of God and a man after God’s heart, simply responded in perfect humility.
Wow! Destructive criticisms, false accusations and contemptuous opinions are like swords digged deep into the hearts of men. They inflict pain and cause grief to the soul, especially when one is whole heartedly carrying on the service of the Almighty in perfect purity. But the state of the human heart is always the heart of the matter. King David’s response simply evidenced the state of his humble heart.
Understand dearly beloved that the ultimate intention of ill-driven criticism and false accusation is but one: to make you talk in order to hold on to your words and have an occasion to accuse you before God. Accusing you before God is tantamount to stuffing up the pumps springing forth the waters of mercy into your life and hinder your anointing from freely flowing.
No one, dearly beloved can institute action against a man whose anger is unexpressed. Did not Shimei know that it was God Himself who took the kingdom of Israel away from Saul? Didn’t Shimei know that Saul forsook his kingly assignment and rather went lake and land after little young man David. Was Shimei on holiday out of the world when king David was extending mercy to the undeserved Mephibosheth the grandson of Saul?
There is another thing the enemy wants to acheve when he comes around with envious provocation. It is always to derail us- to make us lose focus on the major thing. O Man of God, why respond to criticisms? O Man of God, understand that there is a lesson God wants to pull out of every storm that comes your way.
O Man of God, O brother, O sister, if you can respond to criticisms no matter how so painful or how so mild, then it means you can respond and be carried away when men begin to praise you. If you are still dancing to the praise of men, if you can have the time to respond to criticism, then the flesh is not totally dead in you. You have not fully destroyed the old man.
It means then that the door of the kingdom of God is not yet fully opened onto you. Criticisms and even the praise of men are like flying birds. Birds must fly in the sky but must you allow them to perch on you? Both material, spiritual or career success and false accusations are tools of tests. Would you pass their tests when they come?
King David passed his own test and his mark and name are left in everlasting remembrance. The demonized damsel in Acts chapter 16:16-18 went about shouting after Paul the Apostle and his team saying: ‘these men are the servants of the Most High God who proclaim to us the way of salvation’.
Without an iota of doubt, this was a worthwhile truth and worthy praise. But it was from the wrong source. How then do we conquer envy and the deceitful praise of men? Always leave a room for disappointment. Love all and trust none. There are many Man of God who can disappoint. There is only one God of Man who cannot fail and who cannot disappoint. Your best friend is your Maker. Stop evil and envious people through prevailing prayers before they stop you with perveting and envy and lips of empty praises.
Love anyone who criticizes you before you alone and with love. Take every praise of men with pinch of salt. Correct those who love you genuinely when they are wrong. Certainly, you will not miss your reward for so doing. In the end before the end, remember always the words of the great Apostle Paul admonishing us and mankind to ‘look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith’.

IN THE END OF THE VERY END, KNOW FOR A CERTAINTY THAT ENVY AND ENVIOUS PEOPLE LACK ONE THING; IT IS THE ONE THING CALLED LOVE. THE END OF THE ENVIOUS ONE IS NON-ACHIEVEMENT. HE/SHE CANNOT EVER BECOME A MENTOR OF ANY THING THAT WILL END IN ANY GOOD. WHEN MEN PRAISE YOU, ALWAYS LET IT FLY AWAY WITH THE WIND. RATHER, LET YOUR MAKER COMMEND YOU AND ALWAYS RUN VERY FAST WITH HIS COMMENDING REVELATION TO THE FINISH LINE OF DESTINY CONTINUALLY.

ENVY

Envy is the perfect opposite of admiration; it is unequivocally the antimony of love. The flipside of envy is bitter hatred. The envious man will perpetually remain lower to and the servant of the one he is envying. Envy is deplorable. It always makes those who harbor its spirit to follow the path of deceleration continually.
No envious man will ever become as great as the one being envied. Actions emanating from prejudice, anger against others, manifested arrogance and exhibited pride are no more than envy clad in a different garment and complexion.
The great problem about envy is that envy has sometimes a very subtle nature. So then, the next time you find out you just hate somebody without a cause, check it deeply. It might just be that you are envying that individual.
Why do we wish others some ill? Isn’t it amazing to know that the only reason that pastor’s wife hates that sister in church is because that sister appears holier than the pastor’s wife? There are pastors who envy rather than admire their church member, worker or junior pastor because he/she is more gifted than them.
What a shame! Pastor! Can’t you ask God for more grace for that member, worker or junior pastor in your congregation. By doing so, it is in the end going to be for the benefit of the entire church. And if you want more gift from God, can’t you ask God through prayer, fasting and genuine consecration? Lazy pastor!
Understand dearly beloved that the best way to deal with an envious person is to pray for them and show them the love of Christ. But I must inform you now that you should not be ‘overmuch righteous’; otherwise you will in the end get your hands, fingers and feet so badly burnt. Therefore, if you discover that despite your Christ-like love that that envious person remains unyielding, then apply the strict spiritual principles contained in Romans chapter 16:17 and Romans chapter 12:18 and continue to pray for that person.

The question is why? An envious person’s strike is worse than the bite of numerous adders. Because of envious persons, please take note of the following principles:
(1) love all but trust none;
(2) avoid sharing your secrets;
(3) do not share your testimonies (not even in church) except you have dutifully prayed and got a release from the Almighty to so do (Mark 8:22-26);
(4) Do your best to keep your lips sealed when an envious person is around you. For, they will carry true and untrue information about you to lake and to land.

Do you know that people give advice just out of envy? Otherwise what was Eliab, the brother of king David trying to achieve in 1 Samuel chapter 17? His envy got aroused from the moment the Spirit of God in the life of Prophet Samuel refused him in 1 Samuel chapter 16 and his brother was anointed instead of him.
Alas! Older brother envying youngest brother! It is a shame that even in the Christian faith, pastors are envying themselves and churches are envying churches. With this poor show of attitude, when will we overcome our common enemy who is satan? Paul, the Apostle, whilst addressing the church questioned and quipped, ‘from whence comes envyings among you?’ It is a work of the flesh.
And if it is not dealt with very decisively, it will have eternal adverse consequences. There are no two reasons for cruel treatments that Joseph went through; it is the sole reason of envy. The only reason which made the Pharisees and the Sadducees to plot against the Captain of our Salvation is envy. Know this: if the world persecuted our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through envy, we His followers must certainly suffer same. Therefore, be expectant and as well, be vigilant.
The truth is this: when your success begins to manifest, once the time of your glory and celebration starts; it will be like the days of the wheat and tares growing together. Envy and the likes too will appear. It happened to the Blessed Son of God. As soon as His fame spread, envy followed from the people of the Jews.

DIVINE HEALING IS AN ENFORCIBLE RIGHT NOT A MERE PRIVILEGE

Within the sphere of the legal parlance, the latitude of difference between an enforcible right and a privilege is as expansive as the widest ocean. The performance of an action whose duty is guaranteed by law or by nature as commanded to be delivered for the enjoyment of another is an enforcible right. Put simply, anyone upon whom the duty of the performance of any action is to be duly exercised is the one entitled to that exercisable right.
In a deeper sense, a right is an immunity from or an immunity against certain actions that must not be breached. On the contrary, a right differs exponentially from a privilege. A privilege is not exercisable nor can it ever be enforcible. A privilege is merely a permission to enjoy certain benefits because of qualifying status. Though privileges are preferential advantages, they are often not enforcible.
The thematic sense derivable from the exercise and enjoyment of enforcible rights is that there is always in effect and in essence a legal conundrum ensuring force to such rights. Narrowed down to the context of spiritual parlance, a right is an enforcible authority to enjoy certain benefits and immunities which cannot be questioned. They cannot be questioned because prior to their conferment upon those who must enjoy them an initial price was paid.
It is both impossible and improbable to forget the sound spiritual fact that the blood of Jesus was shed as eternal guarantee for the soul of man and for everything incidental thereto. Incidental thereto in this context is a reference to everything that concerns that soul.
In Revelation chapter 12, when the devil was cast down to the earth, he made himself the god of this earth, informing heaven to remain within its aerial realm whilst he reigns as the supreme one here on earth. But the table turned when the same earth received the blood of the Son of God as it was shed on Calvary’s tree. From that moment, the earth and its king lost the legal right to exercise authority over man who is the greatest of God’s creation.
No wonder, the Scripture informs us that ‘with His stripes we were healed’. ‘Were healed’ not just being healed, but we have been healed right from the foundation of the world. The question is why? The simple answer is because ‘the Lamb of God was slain right from the foundation of the world’.
Divine healing is part of the works of the Almighty. And the unfailing word of God states that ‘concerning the works of my hands, command ye me’. If divine healing is part of the works of God, then it is to be commanded in faith as a free gift of God purchased by the blood of the Lamb.
It is an affront against God and His supreme unfailing word to request for divine healing with a double mind by thinking ‘will it be granted or will it not be granted’. It was granted far before you asked. By the way, is there any reason why we should doubt?
Asking through prayer follows a two-prong tasks. First is the simple task of asking in faith through prayer. Second is the application of Amen which can only come by God and from God. I am saying that there is no big difficulty in opening one’s mouth to express words of prayer after all you are not the one who is to answer the prayer.
The headache of granting request is not yours but God’s. So, let us stop swallowing migraine pills for God’s own headache. Divine healing is bread meant for the children of God. Learn this lesson from the Almighty God that the next time you are asking for healing or deliverance for yourself or anyone else. Don’t bother applying too much grammar. Just ask for the life and vitality of God to enter into that area of life needing healing or deliverance.
Therefore, I command in faith that anyone and everyone reading this piece today, receive divine healing for your souls, bodies and spirits now, in Jesus name. It is written, ‘He sent His word and it healed them and delivered them from all their destructions’ therefore I command, let the healing vessel flowing from the riven side of Christ fall and flow into every destiny reading this piece now, in Jesus name.
Fallen and crawling destinys, be revived now, in Jesus name. Dead finances, I decree you back to life now, in Jesus name. Curses, evil covenants, cancer, outgrowths, cysts, fibroids, basket brains in children, inability to conceive, poverty, mental challenges, non-achievements, stagnations and badluck, what makes people to be repulsive to love and lovers, I curse you all now, in Jesus name. Come out and enter no more, in Jesus name, Amen.

MONEY

Man will not change the true essence and the innate character of money no matter the effort. But from time immemorial, money has changed man and will continue to do so whether for the good or for the bad. The turn of the compass for the good or for the bad is always and will remain always the choice of man.
Sweet adverts sometimes in the form of ‘buy one, get two free’ or such invitations and investment messages that speak like inducements urging us to get started without investigating are nothing more than opiums that spur the masses into rush decisions. On the surface, these adverts appear too good to be true. And shouldn’t that feeling make us think twice before acting?
But thinking through the imaginary lines of those adverts, one would thoughtfully see that the language and the conveying mood of those adverts manipulate our minds rather to think in the opposite direction. In our minds, such adverts then become ‘too good to be untrue. And so the mire of wasteful spending adds to its numerous list another riotous spender.
The truth is that nothing is actually free without some cost no matter how less or least. Whatever adverts, jingle or the likes which is pushing the spending head to go ahead of the accounting heart, the truth is that such jingle is one of those crazy money demons that drive us into wrong financial choices. The further truth is that the cure to falling prey is no where else but in us. For attitude change is a personal assignment.
The great international evangelist, Billy Graham quipped, ‘if a person get his attitude towards money straight, it will help straighten out almost every other area in his life’. Ah! Papa Billy! That is an excellent legacy you left behind for my generation.
So, Papa, you are saying in effect and in essence that discipline towards money is a defining factor for obtaining commendation from men for enviable integrity and for attaining dignity before God! In addition, Papa, you are equally saying that if there is perfect attitude change towards money in a man, such a man will hardly stumble.
Hmmm! There is almost no better true talk than this. So, Papa, if the purpose for starting any outfit, be it church, company or other ventures is money, and not first and foremost worthy service to God and to humanity, such a pastor or business man is already a failure before startpoint. Papa Billy, I will equally be right to say that there are three categories of people as far as pastoral profession is concerned.
First, those that are genuinely called by God. Second, those that God did not call but who called themselves. Third, those who have lost their calling. But Papa, if a man was not called by God but if out of passion for divine service such a man makes himself a pastor, if he is faithful in all of his house and his attitude towards money is sparkling white and clean, what then would happen? I hear you say God can recommend such a man for greatness.
Hmmm! As an aside, Papa. Do you remember that I once met you in a revelation in year 2010? You told me that you were going ahead to speak to the lady I was proposing to marry. You returned in that revelation that same night. in that continuing revelation, you informed me as feed back that the lady has rejected the will of God and that she will pay the painful price.
Ten years on, Papa, I don’t think that she is yet to marry. Back to the money issue, Papa. The Holy Scripture states that ‘the love of money is the root of all evil’(1Timothy 6:10). The lips of the Lord informs us that ‘you cannot serve God and mammon’(Luke 16:24). Equally from the lips of the Lord, the Holy Scriptures commands us to ‘make friendship with the mammons of this world’(Luke 16:19). And yet truly, mammon (money) is a non-negotiable necessity. Where then is the line of demarcation?
More concerning still, the Holy Scripture of truth states that ‘money is a defence’(Eccl. 7:12) and that ‘money answereth all things’(Eccl. 10:19). Papa Billy, I am confused with all these. What shall I do?
‘Son, do you remember that the same Holy Scriptures notes that ‘wisdom is greater than strength?’’(Eccl. 9:16). Have you forgotten so soon that the Holy Bible equally states that ‘wisdom is profitable to direct?’(Eccl. 10:10) You surely haven’t forgotten Prov.4:7 wherein it is written that ‘wisdom is the principal thing’….
I must feed you with information that you must keep so secure about money otherwise you will fall. To start with, understand that the greatest and the most respected god on earth after the Blessed Holy Spirit is money.
It can buy satan and all things except the Most High. Never be controlled by it otherwise you are doomed. The strength and the avowed determination of the strongest living man cannot stand before it. The most fervent prayer against it will fizzle away before it.
Why have great men and women fallen? Why did that family break apart? Why did those two friends who were so knitted together in love and in affection get into the boxing-ring with each other? I can provide you no other answer but only to tell you that it is all because of money. Why did the man sell his body to that woman old enough to be his mother? Money.
Why did that brother in-law request his wife’s younger sister to contribute money in a matter that by culture and by all sense of dignity he ought to shoulder? Oh! It is simply because he has got great respect for money, but not for relationship nor for culture. Yes, son, life and service is not all about money.
But son, let a man’s anointing be as tall as the sky, if he has no money, he is not going far. When Iwas on earth, I saw darkly but now I am now in my glorified body as my Master, Christ promised. And I see things more clearly. I see those who have lost their calling, not because of fornication but because of money.
I see sections of living churches divided because of money. I see that church positions are now occupied not because the spiritual prerequisites are met but because money is in the equation. I see that money has removed the power of prayer and holiness from the lives of many. I see that the spiritual visions of most pastors have become blurred because the greater attention is now towads money.
I see those that are standing right among the pastors but discouragements for lack of money have blinded them and turned them out of the way. Power is the puller of prosperity. I see that power is resident in the body of Christ but lying dormant because prosperity is being pursued rather than the prerequisites of purity and power. I see church leaders demanding for money before they can render their spiritual assignments. But these leaders have read the word of the Lord that ‘freely ye have received, freely give’.
What more shall I tell you son? If you defeat the demon of money on two planes, then you have defeated satan and self by 99%.
First, you must pray to the extent that you have money in your possession as a servant duly under your control. Second, you must pray so hard until you conquer money by prayer, by discipline and by the ultimate weapon of wisdom. Generations are changing as God illuminates the heart with deeper understanding.
Therefore, the generation of ‘silver and gold have I none’(Acts 3:6) has passed. It is now the dispensation of realizing and actualizing the sound spiritual fact that the Lord died not only for the reconciliation of humanity back to God, but also to give humanity his riches and take humanity’s poverty away. Do not forget this son! You are in the generation of swift soul-winning because the end of the age is not just near, it is now here. Men will rubbish your anointing if you are ever poor.
You are now in the dispensation of ‘silver and gold are mine (Haggai 2:8)…. And I will shake the heavens and the earth(Haggai 2:6). It is that Christian who is rich in purity, exuberating in the power of God and living in the ocean and over the control of wealth that can be respected and it is that Christian who can do exploits for God. If you have two and half out of the three, you are still a basic failure son!
Son, you shouldn’t be a fool. As a servant of our Father and our God, if you depend on church members before God’s work can be done, then son, there is no greater fool than you on the face of the earth. Tell your fellow brethren that I got my mansion in heaven most beautiful; his grace for service, for giving to His course and for righteous living through the blood of our Saviour and Lord earned me this eternall bliss and inherited peace.
Pray not the prayers of prosperity for the soul which is yet to have encounter with Christ. For prosperity without purity will destroy that unregenerated soul faster than the agenda of our God. The night is far spent son, I must go now and should you not have some rest now son?

BUT IN THE END, REMEMBER SON THAT GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS BUT A RESPECTER OF HIS DIVINE PRINCIPLES. DO NOT LOVE MONEY BUT LOVE THE ONE WHO GIVES MONEY, AND MONEY WILL RESPECT YOU AND DWELL WITH YOU. AMEN AND SHALOM’.

GOD: THE PERFECT SCRIPT PLAYER

For the normal human comprehension, one of the most baffling statements of the Bible is that which is contained in Romans chapter 8:28. The content of the statement reads: ‘And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose’.
Humanity’s genuine love for the Godhead emanating from a heart of righteousness is the foremost criterion for the fulfillment of divine purpose. Put simply, love for God our father puts us and sticks us glued to the path of divine purpose.
Two uncontestable statements of contrasts in the relationship between man and God are: (1) the path of humanity is generally full of encumberrances and pitfalls sometimes born out of his human frailties. And (2) God delights in partnership; in the working of His divine purpose, God is never in the business of being a lone ranger but delights in being the senior partner because He knows far more and sees the end even into the farthest future.
There are not too many reasons for His delightsomeness in human partnership. It is mainly for the purpose of nurturing man until full stature – till that moment when man becomes His full ambassador who can stand and exert authority on His behalf here on earth.
So, to be more precise, in the dictionary of the Godhead and by the attitude of the Almighty, purpose drives action, not otherwise. When purpose is in partnership having been fuelled by genuine love by the two partners for each other, action commences and fruitful success story is always the end-result regardless of the hurdles on the way.
Therefore, it can be concluded that purpose informs the need for tenacity otherwise known as resolve. In the marriage of purpose and tenacity, action is born. And with this trio combine in the partnership equation, everything works for good.
Understand the context, the meaning and the implication of everything works for good! The delays, the persecutions, the pains, the sufferings, the struggles and the sicknesses, the joys and the celebrations, even the deaths are all working for good so long as the condition of sonship is perfected in the partnership equation.
The Apostle Paul was on a divine course for the Almighty when in Acts chapter 16:9 he saw a vision of a man beckoning on him to come over into Macedonia and give them a hand of assistance. No doubt, it was God giving Paul the Apostle a chance to partner with Him in the salvation of the jailer and his household, Lydia (the woman from Thyatira) and indeed the entire city of Philippi.
In the course of fulfilling this calling to Macedonia, Paul and Silas (partners of the Almighty) had to go through the rigour of travelling by probably a turbulent sea experience. The question is: were they not on divine mission? Why didn’t the Almighty just fly them away with ease as He did to Philip the evangelist in Acts.8:39-40 from Gaza to Azotus?
Life and sea turbulence are sometimes part of divine agenda and skilled spiritual training for the bigger picture and the bigger assignment of life to come. Professor H.D. Lardy was my Ph.D supervisor at the University of Aberdeen. She turned me insideout by thorough academic drilling during preparation and the actual writing of my thesis. To me at the time, she was simply being unkind. On hindsight, her drilling was nothing more than a good desire to mould me into a full man – transformed student into an unmatched scholar. I am her success product today, and I am truly and eternally grateful to her.
On arriving in Macedonia, divine purpose drove Saint Paul and Silas to the river side for the purpose of prayer by man’s thoughts but much more for the purpose of Lydia’s salvation by divine arrangement.
It was equally in course of that divine mission that the demon-possessed girl was encountered. In that same process, the partners of the Almighty with Almighty in their company were arrested, beaten, handcuffed and imprisoned. All that were part of the purpose package.
At this time in the prison, by humanity’s way of frailties, the only thing left was to murmur, complain and most probably question why all these horrible events were taking place in their lives. But instead, the saints of God followed the choice of praising their senior partner, the great God of heaven and earth, realizing that ‘all things work together for Good’ when genuine love for God has fuelled the fire of purpose into divine furnace.
Alas! Why didn’t God just issue a command to stop His children and Saint from going through the rigours of the prison? To God, that prison was not for punishment but for protection and for purpose. Wasn’t it in that prison that the man (jailer) who had appeared to Saint Paul at Troas in Acts 16:9 got his conversion, including that of his household?
Dear brother Pastor, have you ever asked yourself the question that the Lord Jesus knowing the man who will betray Him, why then did He not drive that man away from His work force? ‘All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose’. If the Lord had driven Judas away, then divine purpose for His descension to the earth would have failed and humanity would have been doomed forever.
When purpose has succeeded, what follows is the manifestation of the power and the glory of God. So, what happened next? The glory and the presence and power of God showed up in the prison. And what followed immediately afterwards?
The moment the glory, the power and the presence of God descended into the prison, miracles followed – the miracle of salvation and deliverance, the miracle of divine furtherance to the gospel, the miracles of surprise and encouragement, as well as the miracle of fresh lesson to Saint Paul and Saint Silas.
Understand dearly beloved that God is not selfish. When God is on the trajectory of fulfilling His purpose, He takes on board also the fulfillment of His purposes for His partners in progress. God is the lone husband of no rival. How?
Understand that Saints Paul and Silas (being children and servants of God) are equally His brides. God as the bridegroom is a perfect groomer who has all the skills to groom his bride(s) into His honey taste and liking so that a perfect harmony can be attained, thereby paving the way for no difference but sameness.
The result of sameness is that man, the Bride then becomes the bone of the same bone with God, the bridegroom. Dear pastor and dear leader of any sort, what then is the conclusion of this matter?
Pastor! That witch in your church is there for a purpose of God yet to be revealed. Don’t drive her away or drive her crazy. Rather, increase your prayer fire for the purpose God has and will reveal to you. Who knows whether the witch of today may end up fulfilling a major course in your ministry. Remember that the Lord did not drive away Mary Magdalene (the woman who was possessed by seven demons). Alas! Pastor! Go back and study the gospel of Luke again and consider chapter 8:1-3.
O leader, your team member or follower who is always attacking you verbally and/or spiritually may have been allowed into your group for a purpose from God. Understand O leader that no one can walk into your life, group or ministry without God knowing about it. The question is what is the very lesson God wants you to learn from this new phase of your life and career?
The one who is attacking you today is your purpose mentor from God. Though he/she may appear and behave like a devil, only remember that without conquering the next devil, you really cannot get to the next level.
Have you forgotten that a messenger of the devil buffeted Saint Paul continuously and though three earnest times of seeking the face of the Lord, yet the Lord response was ‘my grace is sufficient for you?’ Understand the purpose for that season of your life and receive the response from God with joy.
Those who hate your guts and insult you in the office, in the church or among circle of friends, are doing so to prune you. There may be anger deep inside of you which needs to be exposed so that the purpose of God to destroy that anger and help you to become a master of human psychology may be accomplished. Now you are just a staff who is being mocked and who cannot manage people’s mockery. What will happen when you become an MD?
Why are you yet unmarried? Why the waiting? Why haven’t those miracle babies arrived? Do you think the silence of God on these matters is just mere quietness? No! His quietness means ‘work in progress’. Why is your church still so small in number O pastor despite your anointing and spiritual gifts? Maybe there is that which the Almighty is watching and waiting for. He, God owns you, your anointing and the church altogether. Isn’t it?
IN THE END, HISTORY IS TRITE AND TRUE ON THE REALISTIC FACT THAT THE WORST OF ENEMIES HAVE SOMETIMES ENDED UP THE BEST OF HUSBAND AND WIFE, SINCERE BUSINESS PARTNERS, BEST FRIENDS OR LOVELIEST SPIRITUAL FATHER AND DAUGHTER/SON. JUST ALLOW PURPOSE TRIGGER ACTION WITH GOD IN VIEW. IS IT NOT RATHER BETTER TO MAKE MORE FRIENDS THAN TO MAKE MORE ENEMIES? CONSIDER! WHEN WILL THE WARS STOP AND THE HAPPY PEACE START?!

Question: The great questions again! When was the last time that you preached to any soul? Do you serve God with joyful heart or with reluctance? How much hurt is in your soul against that fellow? Won’t rather forgive them and forget their mischief so that you can rightly serve your loving Father? When was the last time you smiled genuinely and truly from your heart about yourself bearing in mind the bright days to come? when was the last time you heard a force praying within your belly without your consciousness? When was the last time you gave some thing to support God’s work apart from your tithes and offerings? When was the last time you supported any man to fulfill a divine or a personal agenda? When was the last time you put smile on the face of someone?
Answer: Hmmm!.
