THE POWER OF DIVINE INCREASE

Vol. 5, No. 38 – Sunday 27th September, 2020
(Psalm 71:21, Phil.4:19, Zech.8:12)
THE POWER OF DIVINE INCREASE

Of the mighty things the great God of heaven and earth has done and can do for mankind, one prayer/prophecy remains unanswered and unfulfilled for many Christians. This is the one prayer/prophecy pronounced by the Holy God in His Holy word as contained in Psalm chapter 71 verse 21.
It reads: ‘thou shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side’. It is a marveling wonder and such wonder that attempts to castigates the infallible word and pristine character of the Almighty when Christians – the controllers of the ends of the universe live below the average. Put more aptly, Christians are the poorest in town.
Shall I shock us with certain statistics? Do you know that there are more poor pastors than the Alhajis and moslem clerics. The easy wayout by many Christians is to say that moslems are idol worshipers or worshipers of satan. Therefore, satan paves the way for them to be prosperous.
Permit my language please! But such conclusion is spuriously stupid. The truth is assuming moslem clerics and alhaji worship satan, and as such, satan meets their needs, the consonant and most correct question is “can’t the Christian God do same”?
Understand this O Christian! Romans chapter 2:11 states that ‘God is no respecter of persons’. Although the Almighty respects no person, without an iota of doubt, it is a statement of spiritual fact that the Almighty respects something. And what could that be? God is a respecter of His principles. Whether an idol worshiper or a worshiper of the Almighty, whoever puts God’s principles into practice is sure to have excellent results. The truth remains this: that many moslem clerics and Alhajis are great givers.
There was the story about the President of a major great country in West Africa who was a christian. One day, his sister visited the Presidential villa. On her departure, her brother, the President, gave her fifty thousand of the currency of that country. As soon as she left her brother’s office, she visited the Vice President who is a moslem. To her amazement, the Vice President to her brother, the President, gave her one million. Please consider the percentage difference.
Let us not be deceived; giving beget giving. Besides this, there are principles which must be applied prior to and after giving.
Principle 1: Realise that Giving reproduces giving. Therefore, if a man must get he must give.
Principle 2: Giving journeys with joyful heart and trending faith in God.
Principle 3: Givers must set limits to giving becauase most times, takers have no limits. The territorial borders of most takers or receivers is ever expanding. As such, givers must budgetarily define the ambits of their giving. For sometimes, some givings are nothing more than senseless givings.
Principle 4: To every giving, there must be a prophetic/pastoral declaration or giving in return. Remember Gen.14:18-20.
Principle 5: There are persons and institutions that automatically beckon for our giving and whose rewards equally come with automaticity. (a) Take care of your biological parents and (b) give to your spiritual parents. The fact that your mummy is a witch does not mandate you to cease from putting smiles on their faces by dint of giving.
Both the contents of 1 Corinthians 9:11 and Romans 15:27 enjoins us to be rich by enriching our spiritual fathers with our material substances. Understand then what trigger the Apostle Paul’s pronouncement in Phil.4:19. A close examination of the previous verse reveals that the Apostle Paul had first received gifts from the Philippians through Epaphroditus before giving them blessings by prophetic declaration.
It is the same principle in clear application in Zech.8:12. It reads: ‘for the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things’.
As Zech.8:13 instructs: there is an injunction which the giver must constantly follow. It is the injunction that the hand of the giver must be continually strong in prayer and in well doing. For who can harm you if you are a doer of that which is good (1 Pet.3:13). As the art and the act of giving is clearly conditioned under Zech.8:12-13, the same is the injunction with Apostle Paul and the Philippians. It is the precondition of giving to the Man of God for he is the minister of God watching out for your soul.
Principle 5(c)Do not neglect the orphans/orphanages, widows, the handicapped, the poor and the aged. Whoever gives to any of these ones is lending his/her giving onto God.
Principle 5(d) Never give to people who are enemies of the gospel who may in turn use your gifts to further the destruction of the gospel of Christ. Be not partakers of other men’s sins (1 Tim.5:22).
Principle 5(e) Nothing can you contribute to the kingdom of God- church, fellowship, etc, which will not attract glorious blessings instantly, overtime and through time.

IN THE END, WHAT WILL YOU DO TO THIS SERMON? IGNORE, INFORM YOURSELF BETTER AND BE WISER AND RICHER OR INFLICT YOURSELF AND OTHERS WITH CONTRARY OPINIONS.
IN THE END OF THE VERY END, NEVER GIVE WHEN GOD SAYS NO. DON’T GIVE LATER WHEN GOD SAYS NOW. NEVER LOAN OUT THE MONEY THAT YOU CANNOT FREELY GIVE. NEVER FORM PARTNERSHIP WITH ANYONE WHEN GOD SAYS YOUR STAR IS A LONE STAR. FOR WHERE YOU ARE LONE STAR, THEN GOD IS YOUR LONE PARTNER.AND WITH ALL THESE PRINCIPLES IN PLACE, THE POWER OF DIVINE IS CERTAIN TO DEFEND UPON THE CHRISTAIN.

Question and Answer Section
Question: The great questions again! When was the last time that you preached to any soul? Do you serve God with joyful heart or with reluctance? How much hurt is in your soul against that fellow? Won’t rather forgive them and forget their mischief so that you can rightly serve your loving Father? When was the last time you smiled genuinely and truly from your heart about yourself bearing in mind the bright days to come? when was the last time you heard a force praying within your belly without your consciousness? When was the last time you gave some thing to support God’s work apart from your tithes and offerings? When was the last time you supported any man to fulfill a divine or a personal agenda? When was the last time you put smile on the face of someone?
Answer: Hmmm!.

THE SECRETS OF MONITORING SPIRITS

EXPRESS IMAGE GLORY MINISTRIES
THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 5, No. 37 – Sunday 20th September, 2020
(Isaiah 8:9-19)
THE SECRETS OF MONITORING SPIRITS

To every existing family on the face of the earth, there is a spirit closely attached to the foundation. There is an original foundation and there can be substituted foundation of an evil content and consequences. A substituted foundation begins the very moment the ordinary cause of nature is altered by anyone through sin and/or covenant with satan or curse.
The foundation of any family at any given time is the lone spiritual door through which powers including the Almighty accesses all families on the earth. Family foundations contain a major weapon exploited by dark spirits to achieve their dastard ambitions. It is the weapon of generational or lineage blood. Every generational or lineage blood is used by dark powers as spiritual mirrors. There is no hiding place with this spiritual mirror.
So long as an individual is born into any given family, an iota of that family’s generational or lineage blood is already contained in that individual. It is always through the instrumentality of this spiritual mirror that wicked forces/dark powers peep through to see members of that family wherever they go.
No one is actually hidden from the mirror of generational or lineage blood except the one shielded by the Almighty. Get this also that so long as spiritual mirrors remain accessible to dark powers, although the individual being monitored is far away in India for example, and the family household of such individual is based in say, a nation like Nigeria, such individual is close-by to monitoring spirits and forces as though he/she is a nextdoor neighbor.
Hear the words of Isaiah chapter 8 especially verse 19. It reads:”and when they shall say unto you, seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? For the living to the dead?”
In the context of monitoring spirits and moreso in relation to this verse of the Holy and Glorious Scripture, two key words stand out. The first word is the word ‘peep’. The second word is the word ‘mutter’. Put into context, peep means to whisper. Mutter on the other hand means to speak quietly in such a way that it is difficult for others to hear or comprehend.
Two things are sure about the words peep and mutter. First is no one peeps or mutters except there is need to disseminate an information. Second is that peeping or muttering involves speaking as a resulting function of seeing. For except one sees something, most times, one does not speak.
Put into proper context therefore, monitoring spirits are wicked spirits who are most familiar with the foundation of a given family, who have most accurate information, who disseminate such information to forces seeking one’s destruction and who have no good intentions for members of the family they monitor.
Why are certain diseases common to certain families through endless generations? Why do some families behave in particular way? Why is it that a pattern of evil is so prevalent with certain people? There are no two answers to these questions other than the presence and activities of monitoring spirits.
Hear a mystery for me and for you brethren: if the presence of God is constantly with a man, the absence of dark power with him or around him will be a reality that cannot be contested. The genuine question deserving a genuine answer is: are you a carrier of divine presence?
Here is a further mystery: there is nothing which blinds evil forces be it the monitoring ones or any other other than the ‘Shield of Faith’. Why? Because it blinks divine light which blinds them. Are you a user and indeed a constant user of the spiritual weapon of the ‘Shield of Faith?’ Frankly speaking, do you even know how to use this spiritual weapon?
Hear this mystery: monitoring spirits know your past before you knew Christ. But having known Christ, it is not permitted that they should know your present and your future. It is eternally impossible for familiar spirits, monitoring forces or any other dark power to see the progress of any man who is a constant user of the blood of the Lamb of God. Hey! Brethren, did you get that? Do you constantly plead the blood of Jesus on your dress, gowns, scarfs, underwears, trousers, shirts, caps, handkerchiefs, shoes, belts, etc. Does pleading the blood of the Lord Jesus cost you anything? Darkness and dark powers are constantly advancing and you must not be left behind with your application of spiritual resources.

I prophesy upon your life: those seeking your life through spiritual mirrors, covens, cauldrons, white handkerchiefs, pots, water and the likes shall no longer find you, in the name of the Lord Jesus. Please pray these following prayers:
⦁ Dark powers searching for my glory, go blind now and forever.
⦁ My glory and breakthroughs carried away by wicked forces, return by fire and by the strength of the right hand of God.
⦁ Monitoring spirits, household witchcraft and wizards whispering information about me and my destiny, I cut off your evil networks; let your mouth go dumb and your eyes become blind, in the name of the Lord Jesus.
⦁ O my lost times and wasted efforts, I receive divine compensation for you all.
⦁ Wicked forces diverting my blessings and redirecting my present and future spouse, I sack you now by the blood of Jesus.
⦁ O generational or lineage blood contained in me, dry up now and replaced by the blood of Jesus.
⦁ I remove my names by the blood of Jesus from the dark list of household wickedness.
⦁ I shall celebrate Christmas like never before.
⦁ O year 2021, my man-child shall be born in you and I shall be celebrated by all.
And you that lady who is to have abortion around February/March year 2021, I cancel that wickedness. That baby shall not be aborted, in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

IN THE END, WHAT THE ENEMY SUCCEEDED IN DOING TO YOU BEFORE KNOWING CHRIST IS MAYBE PERMISSIBLE AND PROBABLY FORGIVABLE. BUT HAVING KNOWN CHRIST, IT IS NOT PERMISSIBLE OR FORGIVABLE. THE ENEMY MUST BE MADE TO PAY FOR EVERY HARM INFLICTED ON GOD’S CHILDREN. IS THAT A FACT WITH YOU? THEN STIR UP THE FIGHT NOW.

THE MARVELING FAITH OF CHRIST

EXPRESS IMAGE GLORY MINISTRIES
THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 5, No. 36 – Sunday 13th September, 2020
(Lk.23:46, Heb.11:6)
THE MARVELING FAITH OF CHRIST

As human beings, we are consistently engaged in the influencing actions and the power of the works of faith. Just think about it; human beings walk about on the ground not minding the possibility of the ground caving-in underneath their feet.
Virtually every hour men are involved in air travels, unconsciously committing their lives into the hands of pilots trusting that the pilots will do the most necessary to ensure their safety. Men never question about the experience or the inexperience of their piloting crew. These are all actions of faith. Why then is it that fear nevertheless still has its way in man.
The simple answer is that faith operates on two separate platforms. First is the platform – the realm of the unconscious. Second is the platform of the conscious reality. This is the more difficult platform where the natural man cannot operate. Just think about the depth of fear which grips men at the announcement by their pilots that the aircraft was swaggering in the downward direction of the atlantic.
Imagine the panic in the hearts and minds of men who have once believed unconsciously in the ability of their pilots to guarantee their safety and safe landing. The reality of danger which instigates fear always trigger the dawn of faith in the heart and mind of only the spiritual man.
The story was told about the man whose aircraft in which he was traveling crashed into the ocean. No one survived. For one strange reason or another, he managed to escape from the sinking aircraft. Landing in the water, he kept the confessional expression of faith, ‘I cannot die’. To his shock, he soon noticed that a hand was holding his hand and head up afloat above the water. There, the hand sustained him until rescue arrived several hours later. Such a man is the sort in whom dwells the marveling faith of Christ.
Imagine the unusual man, Christ, who forsook certainty for the most bizarre uncertainty. Imagine Christ going into the region of the dead where there is only an exit out of life without the possibility of reentry. Yet, Christ did the strangest thing ever, committing His life to the invisible having the firm faith that the invisible but existing Jehovah was faithful enough not to forget Him in that region of the dead.
What an unusual faith! Why did Christ not consider for a moment that He might not return? The simple answer is that Christ had and still has singleness of mind on the kind and eternally faithful God. The simple answer is that there is no faith in making alternatives.
When men make requests to God and yet occupy their minds with alternatives, the result is always delay, disaster or shame. Making alternatives with God is tantamount to making a preference for humanity as against divinity. Making alternatives with God is an expression borne out of preferential fear. The presence or the allowance for preferential fear simply means the absence of God. For fear is the perfect opposite of faith. For whatever lacks faith lacks God , and can never be of God.
The Holy and glorious Scripture informs us in Hebrews chapter 11:6 that ‘without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whoever cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him’.
The duty of man is to tender requests to God in faith. It is God’s own task to answer by glorifying Himself. When we set alternatives, we directly dishonor God. I tell us a mystery: if we make requests to God and we know that we do not have the faith to receive, there is a wayout provided by the Holy and glorious Scriptures.
Simply make your requests and equally tell God that ‘Lord, my faith is little to obtain these demands. Please help my unbelief’ (Mark.9:24). Hear the mystery further dear brethren: mercy is the foundation of all, including faith (Ps.89:2).
Mercy begets faith; where faith fails, the mercy of God can stand as substitute. And indeed, mercy is the superior substitute. What then is it that you desire O brother, and by every level of faith, you cannot have that desire fulfilled. Then count on God’s mercy and ask Him calling on Him to perform that desire simply on the basis of His mercy.
Mercy is grace turned inside-out. Mercy is the flipside of grace. Just as grace is unmerited favour. So too, mercy is grace and favour freely given with or without asking and always undeserving. Then someone will arise and question: since mercy can be available and we can equally obtain from God through mercy, why not abandon faith?
First, understand O brother, O sister, that mercy is the expression of kindness flowing from the Almighty to man. Mercy makes man to know how kind the Almighty can be. Conversely, Faith is human expression of how worthy, honourable, reverent and valued the Almighty is as best understood by humanity.
Second, by faith, man acknowledges to God that He is greater than the confronting circumstances. By faith, man tells God that He, the Almighty is the last resort and unless He does something nothing will happen. By the prerogative of mercy, God speaks to man about His divine nature.
Third, although mercy births and indeed, it is the foundation of faith, nevertheless, faith expressed by man onto God attracts divine action by mercy. Our expressions of faith in God tells both God and men the depth of our relationship and such level of revelational understanding of God and His outworking power resident in man.
IN THE END THERE IS NO BETTER EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW OTHER THAN JESUS. FOR OUR DYING GENERATION, AMONG THE SO MANY, THERE ARE TWO MAJOR SPIRITUAL TREASURES THAT WE URGENTLY NEED: PURITY OF HEART AND THE FAITH OF CHRIST THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

UNUSUAL WORSHIP DURING ADVERSITIES BRINGS ABOUT UNUSUAL VICTORIES AND UNUSUAL PROSPERITY

EXPRESS IMAGE GLORY MINISTRIES
THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 5, No. 35 – Sunday 6th September, 2020
(Is.36, Is.37:1-38, esp. verses 36-38)
UNUSUAL WORSHIP DURING ADVERSITIES BRINGS ABOUT UNUSUAL VICTORIES AND UNUSUAL PROSPERITY

Is there really nothing to learn from this unusual man called Sennacherib? He was a mighty king of an empire called Assyria. Suddenly, he was at war with the tribe of Judah headed by king Hezekiah.
By all human standards, king Hezekiah was no match to him. But nevertheless, he approached Jerusalem, the capital city of the nation of Judah with a troop of 185,000 soldiers. By the start of war at daybreak, victory was certain for him. But by that same break of day, something different had happened.
His entire troop had been murdered by a single angel. In fear, in unusual loss and tragic sorrow, Sennacherib fled back to his land. Then something specially shocking happened. He went into the house of his god, not to complain nor to weep, but to go and worship his god. What a bad man but also one who had unusual faith in his god.

Have you ever been angry against God? Have you ever cursed God because of your situation? Then it is time to repent. Remember this fact that God can never be the same as satan. It is impossible for the Almighty to share the same attributes with the devil. So, there is no point equating Him with the evil one.
The times of adversity cannot but come. Their purpose for coming is to present us with prosperity should we be found ready. This is why the best response in times of adversity is the celebration of God and His awesome power. Because two opposites will always produce a reaction or a provocation at the least. How and what does this mean?
In the moments of sorrow, should its opposite like joyful praise becomes the response, God then is always moved to spring excellent surprises beyond human imagination.
But do you know that like God, satan too treasures worship and praises. By turning his interests away from sorrow but rather resorting to the worship of his god, Sennacherib was directly provoking his god into action against Judah. Had the Almighty not caused him to be killed by his sons at that spot, something most grievous would have happened.
Do you doubt this? If you do, then turn with me into the account contained in 2 Kings from chapter 3 reading from verses 1-27. It is an account concerning the king of Moab who, like Sennacherib, was defeated in battle. In order to provoke action from his god, he sacrificed his first son to his god.
The Bible then made a shocking statement that following that act of sacrificial worship to his god, unusual rage was aroused against Israel (see 2 Kings.3:26-27). . Unusual rage?! Yes! It is all a function of the power of praises and worship. Praises/worship are more potent than prayers in producing results.

Praises/worship produces answers and response from God more than the most fervent prayers. Praises/worship feed God, and thereby strengthens Him. Scrutinise the heart-felt, fervent prayers of prophet Daniel in Daniel chapter 9 through to chapter 10, notice that there was no moment of praises in those fiery prayers.
Reading between the lines, the question becomes necessary. Should praises have been included, would the prince of Persia have been able to halt the angels bearing the message of God for Daniel for those 21 days? For, do not praises triumph over all forces? I conclude then that prayer is a travailer whilst praise is a prevailer.

IN THE END, PRAYERS ARE VERY NECESSARY. BUT GO THE WAY OF PRAISES MORE AND MORE OF THE TIME. WITH PRAYERS MAN WILL BE FULFILLED BUT WITH PRAISES MAN WILL BE MORE FULFILLED.

WAITING ON GOD

THE MESSAGE NOW

Vol. 4, No. 37- Monday 30th September, 2019

WAITING ON GOD

Text: Psalm 25:1-5

Waiting on God is depending unceasingly and entirely upon Him. When we wait on God, our eyes, thoughts and desires are on Him and not on ourselves, any other person or creature. This is because all good things and all perfect gifts come from Him. We do pray and fast to get our needs met by God.
In life, there are many needs to be met: strong enemies against whom our human strength is utterly insufficient; difficult decisions to make; spiritual and material blessings we desire to have; guidance and instructions we desire to receive from God. There are prayers offered for the saints, the church, ourselves and other persons in respect of which we expect answers.

All these demand our patiently waiting on God. “For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise”(Hebrews 10:36).

Whenever we are waiting on God, we must do so with assurance in our heart that God is Almighty, loving and faithful. He does not fail nor disappoint His People: “…not one thing hath failed to all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you and not one thing hath failed thereof “(Joshua 23:14).

As we wait, our heart must keep away from everything that is sinful and evil or having appearance of evil. Also, we must be totally obedient to His commands.
Our waiting on God can never be in vain if we do not cast away our confidence which have great recompense of reward (Hebrews 10:35). There is certainty of blessing for us. He will reveal Himself to save, to guide and fulfil all His promises.

The admonition for every child of God is “wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord” (Psalm 27:14).
In our coming conference, look up to God He will do the seemingly impossible in your life.

In The End: Waiting on God means having faith in God and trusting Him to do what He promised which only Him can do.

I AM GOD AND THERE IS NONE ELSE

THE MESSAGE NOW

Vol. 4, No. 36- Monday 23rd September, 2019

I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE.

Isaiah 45:20-22

A vivid knowledge of the scriptures reveals that God makes Himself known to people in different situations. For example, He called Noah to make an ark of gopher wood in order to preserves lives, Gen 6:13-22. Remember that Noah built the ark by paying attention to divine instructions, verse 22.

In Gen 17:1 He appeared to Abram as the Almighty God and instructed him to walk before him and be perfect. The outcome of Abram’s obedience are numerous. God made covenants with him, God changed his name from Abram to Abraham, meaning father of many nations, God made him fruitful- No other god can make a life covenant, rather it is a death covenant.
In Psalms 125:1 “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.” Invariably, whoever trusts in God is similar to mount Zion which abideth forever.
God is omniscience knowing the end from the beginning. He guides and He will always fulfill His promises just as He divinely instructed the Israelites in Deuteronomy 2. The summary of this chapter informs that a man’s journey in life is key to his destiny. God commanded them to pass through the coast of the children of Esau at Seit, be careful do not meddle with them, their territory is not your promise land, He warned them not to distress the Moabites. At a point, God delivered Sihon king of Heshbon into their hand, they overwhelmed him and inherited the King’s land. You will only get to promise land when God leads you and not other gods.

The nature of God is full of mercy which in turn informs/gives us salvation. Isaiah 46:22 “Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else.” Salvation comes from God, while  He preserves you because you trust Him according to Psalms 16:1, other gods cannot preserve, they destroy life gradually or suddenly.
Job was a perfect man who would have turned to other gods as a result of the colossal losses he experienced in his life. Job 1:13-20 itemized his loss, in verses 21-22  And said, “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD”.

In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Job recognized the supremacy of God, he worshipped God. In chapter 42:10-15, God restored Job after he had prayed for his friend – God doubled his possession. Job trusted God and not other gods as NOTHING GOOD CAN EMANATE FROM  OTHER GODS.
Psalms 25:20, reveals that God keeps our souls and will not put you to shame if you trust Him. The God that I know is the Almighty God, what about you?

IN THE END, THOSE THAT TRUST IN THE CREATOR RATHER THAN THE CREATURES WILL DO EXPLOIT.

Hymn: O Lord my God when I, in Awesome Wonder
Pray Now
1) O Lord my God, every evil altar calling my name day and night be destroyed by fire in Jesus Name
2)Father you are my God, no situation will put me to shame in Jesus Name
3)You restored Job completely, Father restore(name them….) in double portions in Jesus Name
4) Father I invite you, be God over my life in Jesus Name.
5) Whatever represents other gods in my life die in Jesus Name.

WHY ARE YE TROUBLED?

EXPRESS IMAGE GLORY MINISTRIES
The Message Now
Vol. 4, No 35- Monday, 16th September,2019.
Why Are Ye Troubled?
Luke 24:38

It is natural for man to get and feel troubled when confronted with trouble. When the trouble is so frightening, some hormones are released in the body adequately to react to the trouble. It’s just a natural physiological process.
Jesus asked this question “why are ye troubled? (LK 24:38) just to assure them that as His followers they need not be troubled.

He was questioning them whether they believed all he said about his death and resurrection. He knew even their thoughts and further asked ‘why do these thoughts arise in your hearts?’
If we truly believe that Christ is risen, we do not need to be troubled. This question was asked after his resurrection and the disciples were still doubting and are troubled . We don’t need to be troubled when trouble comes.

It is note worthy that while they were troubled, Jesus suddenly appeared in the midst (LK 24:36) and commended peace unto them. May the Lord appear to you you are troubled and give you peace.

Each time the disciples were troubled, Jesus was always suddenly appearing to reassure them of peace and calmness.
There was an occasion when they were to cross to “the other side “(MK 4:35 -41). Along the journey, a great storm arose but Jesus was peacefully sleeping on a pillow. The frightened disciples woke him up and he commanded peace; he shall command his peace into your troubled life in Jesus name.

In this case a “ great storm “ was returned to a “great calm “ Mk 4: 37, Mk 4: 39). In the account of John 6-16-21, the storm rose up and they were afraid but as Jesus entered the ship they were instantly on the other side where they were going (like a magic).

When trouble was predicted for Paul in Jerusalem, Paul challenged it head long for he was prepared not only to be bound but to even die for what he believed (Act 21: 11-13). He wasn’t troubled by trouble.
When death was staring at Peter, he was imprisoned so he could be killed after Easter. Peter just peacefully slept off in the inner prison where they kept him (Act 12 :6-8, 10-12).
How sweet to know that the brethren and the church are praying for you when in trouble (Act 12: 5). Peter knew the brethren were praying for him, he knew where they were holding the prayer meeting so he went straight to meet them (Act 12:12).

Initially we at Express Image, in the pastorate, we dedicated every 1st Wednesday to fasting and prayer for the church and the members, the second Wednesday for the workers and pastorate and the 3rd Wednesday for the pastor and his family but now we do it three times a day and every day of the week. The lord has been giving us and the members’ great victory since then. When Paul and Silas were in great trouble and
imprisoned, they were not troubled at all (Act 16 25-34). It was their praise worship that brought the power of God to the situation and the prison doors were widely opened.

Esther didn’t wait for the trouble to come and consume them. She challenged the trouble and did the unlawful, she said “if I perish, I perish” and for this singular action all the Jews were saved from destruction (Esther 3:13, 4 :15, 16, 8: 16-17, 9: 5).

If truly we are Christians, we don’t need to be troubled when trouble comes. Trouble will always come (Rev 12- 12), but Christ assurance is our sufficiency
– Life is loaded with trouble
-Everybody is either in it, or heading towards it, or getting out of it
-Hardship is facts of life
-Our Christian journey is not an easy sail; storms will threaten (MK 4:9).

But when you invite Jesus into your journey, he will calm the storm. In Mark 4:37 that we earlier read, there was a great storm: yours may also seem so greatly overwhelming but Jesus has a greater force to calm it. Compare the enormosity of the storm in (MK4:37) and the great peace in (MK4:39). There was a great storm and at Christ’s intervention their was great peace. It shall be unto you in your life according to the order of MK 4:39. In MK4:40, He asked them again on this occasions why are ye fearful ? if you have full faith in Christ, no trouble should trouble you. Storm will threaten and waves will surge they shall all ‘’come to pass’’ in Jesus name.

Trusting Jesus doesn’t keep us from having difficulties. But it does keep us from being swallowed by them.
When you are in trouble don’t be troubled.
When David faced the great Goliath of Gath, it was a big trouble but David ran forward and released a single stone to kill the enemy and there was peace. God promised to deliver us from all our troubles.(Ps 91:15).

In the end, when you are in trouble don’t be troubled, the risen Christ is with you and He will keep you. He will keep your ship from sinking it doesn’t matter how deep the sea. Faith and hope will keep you floating. Don’t let trouble, trouble you.

CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES PART 4

THE MESSAGE NOW

Vol. 4, No. 35 – Monday, 9th September, 2019
(Jude.1:3)
CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES
(Part 4)

Common sense agrees that passion drives success. What this implies scores very vital points. For one, success may be countenanced as an engineless vehicle. Unless and until it is powered, that vehicle remains static.

In the same connection, what is contained in the Bible is the passion of the Almighty for all humanity. If a long sketch of that which is divine passion only creates a state of boredom to man, then man has missed the divine path a long time ago, and would now need to retrace his steps.
It has been a number of weeks since this magazine has continued with the doctrines of the Bible. Should we have become bored already, then our passions are being tested by God to find out whether our attention and passion are geared in the direction of the things of heaven or not. In the previous edition of this magazine, two doctrines of the Bible: water baptism and restitution were addressed. It is now the turn of another doctrine.
1. The Cross and sanctification (Luke 23:34, John 17:17, 2 Tim.2:21, 1 John 3:3): An increased commanding voice in volume no doubt will sustain certain attention from man. But nothing else commands the attention of the Almighty except the cry from a genuinely, pure heart.
How so true is equally the spiritual reality that purity of heart determines the acceptance of man’s offerings. Why is it that the praising voice of man is so sonerous yet the praise in question does not arise beyond the ceiling of the building where such praises is being offered?
The answer is certainly not in any distant land; it is a matter of the heart and its purity state. Understand that sanctification is the forerunner of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the subsequent enduement with power.
As it was noted in the previous edition of this magazine, sanctification is the second work of grace after salvation. Without sanctification, there can be no arrival of the Holy Spirit in His full measure. Neither can genuine power of God dominate the life of the believer whose life is void of the genuine experience of sanctification.

Where there is any demonstration of power without purity which comes about through the process of sanctification, there is always the looming danger of spiritual fatality. It is sanctification which solidifies salvation. It is sanctification which sustains the indwelling Holy Spirit and His power in the life of man.
Sanctification of the heart is otherwise known as ‘circumcision of the heart’ (see Deut.30:6). Sanctification makes it easy for man to serve God and to submit to His will. The prayer of every sanctified heart is a sweet-smelling fragrance accepted to God at the first scent.

Hear the prayer of a most sanctified soul in Matt.26-39 noting: ‘O my father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt’.

Sanctification is obtained and attained by prayer of the heart which seeks a surgical operation in order to uproot inward sin. Whilst salvation deals with outward sin, it is sanctification which deals with the actual nature of sin which is deeply rooted inside man.
Understand that if salvation will be enjoyed by any Christian, sanctification must be obtained. It is the engine and lubricating oil which drives the vehicle of salvation with effortless ease. Just as it is the will of God that ‘all men should come to the saving knowledge of the truth and be saved’ (1 Tim.2:3-4), so also it is the perfect will of God for every soul of saved believers to be sanctified (1 Thess.4:3).

Intention determines action. So, common sense would not disapprove of the fact that all actions must be judged according to intention. Therefore, when the Almighty is ‘weighing’ human actions, He is indirectly judging the intentions of the heart (1 Sam.2:3d).
To walk with God and work perfectly for Him, the intentions of the heart must be that containing only one motive: the motive of pure love. When Christians come to the true appreciation of the cross, then sanctification becomes a passion-driver and success worth pursuing.
But the mystery of the cross of Christ remains a mystery until the understanding of Christ’s suffering and sacrifice is truly gained by man. It is only at this point that appreciating sanctification and the need for it begins.

Once this appreciation begins, pursuit for sanctification follows automatically.
But there is nevertheless a missing link. This is the link of love. Love for anything determines the thirst and hunger for such thing. Should the heart of man fail to be infested with love for the Cross, then the hidden mystery of the Cross and the unraveling of such mystery remains a mirage and attaining spiritual success is yet but such a success existing in a dream world.

When will such dream become a reality? Until love for the Cross and its power is obtained. Until Calvary’s pain is appreciated and the true meaning of the Cross is first innately realized and embraced.
O Cross of Christ at Calvary!
What great wonder You contain.
How many have understood your power;
There is a covenant unknown
To man that You bear.
O Worthless man!
Pursue nothing else but the worthwhile Cross.
For is it not in the Cross
That salvation and sanctification were paid
So then it is by You O Cross
That man in every way can obtain the fullness of God as perfect gain.
O Cross, Cross of Christ,
Enter into me today,
That I may never be the same ever again
O Cross, Cross of Christ;
My heart I give,
My hands raised in absolute surrender.
Reveal your power and marchless covenant in me
That Christ’s suffering and sacrifice may forever have me as its eternal gain.

CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES PART 3

THE MESSAGE NOW

Vol. 4, No. 34 – Monday, 2nd September, 2019
(Jude 1:3)
CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES
(Part 3)

To every organization there are agreed rules and regulations more properly known as binding code of conducts. Every code of conduct is designed in order to enforce order, mutual respect, discipline and decency (1 Cor.14:40).
In the same perfect semblance, doctrines and their strict followership trigger blessings, act as compass for giving direction and their disobedience incur divine judgement (Deut. 4:1, 6:2, 17).

Indeed, in sound spiritual fact, doctrines point us in the direction of heaven. Therefore, any church who is vested with the best message but which does not preach or enforce doctrines of the Bible is a spiritual “marcopolo bus” conveying myriads in the downward direction which leads to hell.
Put more aptly, Bible doctrines are non-negotiable. And it does not matter whether one big individual Man of God fails to practice them. The Bible is a divine institution and any big Man of God is merely an individual; and at no point will individuality defeat institutionalism.

So, whether we accept or not, doctrines remain God’s unchanging standard in a world so spuriously changing. Amidst these doctrines are the following:
1. Water Baptism (Mark 16:15-16, Matt. 28:19, Acts 19:1-7). Water baptism is a qualifying criterion for entry into heaven in as much continuity of life permits after salvation. Did you get that? Water baptism comes after the soul has been saved, not prior to the saving of the soul.
This is where the question of child baptism comes into the equation. Should children be baptized? The point of baptism is an emphasis for realization; realization in the sense of understanding the import and the importance of the interest behind baptism.
A child who is yet to understand what sin is all about, what the purpose of water baptism is, and what difference it will make in the life of the Christian should not be baptized.
Should such a child be baptized at this point, then when salvation is eventually gained by that child after realization, water baptism will need to be conducted afresh.

There is a further issue about water baptism. This is the issue of conducting water baptism in the form of water sprinkling. Clearly, this pattern is purely unbiblical. The guiding compass as contained in the Holy Scriptures speaks about emersion, deep inside water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This is the sole approved form and pattern, not by sprinkling (Rom.6:4, Col. 2:12).
More than what is physically understood about water baptism, there is a serious spiritual angle to being ‘buried with Christ in baptism’. This act of immersion is a perfect and unbroken union between the saved soul and Christ. The experience of water baptism to a genuinely saved soul is so real that its spiritual and physical impacts are unmissable.

2. Restitution (Exo.22:1-31, Num.5:5-8, Matt. 5:23-24, Luke 19:8): The immediate question vastly and very much fast resonating here is the question about what restitution means. The answer is not far-fetched. Restitution is the act of making wrong(s) right.
The truth is that salvation paves the way for further growth in the Christian race. Salvation is never the stop point. For until salvation combines with restitution, some sins remain unwashable. The question here is the question about how and why.
After salvation has been gained by the saved soul, if there has been some physical sins committed which involved other persons, restitution will be required in order to perfect the gained salvation. Understand that salvation (and indeed sanctification which is the second work of grace) only takes care of sin in the heart. It is the carrying out of the doctrine of restitution which deals with outward sin. Again, the how question resonates.

If for instance, a man before gaining salvation had stolen my car, after salvation and having prayed and sought guidance from seasoned spiritual leaders, such a man will need to approach me and confess that theft to me. That man will equally need to return the car which he stole from me. But understand that collecting the returned car is the sole choice of me the owner of the car. But the initial confession is a necessary condition that cannot be overlooked.
Note that such a man should not delay to bring the theft issue to my knowledge even when he is yet to buy another car should the car be out of his hands. Confession of the act of theft even before return of the stolen property is most necessary. Because who knows rapture might occur before the return of the property stolen.
The act of restitution does not involve properties only. It is inclusive of situations where one person has told a lie against another, etc. So long as the Holy Spirit reminds one to restitute a matter, that matter is a matter calling for restitution. At other times, it may just be that one’s mind reminds one about such matter, then the needful must be done.
Restitution is a confirmation of the Holy Scripture in Matt.3:8. Thus restitution is an outward show of genuine repentance. Restitution associates us with the holy God (1 Pet.1:16, Matt.5:48). Please understand the doctrine of restitution more clearly with the given scenario below.

To every political party in the secular world, there is the necessity of open affiliation especially when an individual decamps from one party to another. In the same connection, when we are translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s own dear Son (Col.1:12-13), there must be not only a spiritual translation there must of necessity exist a physical one also.
Therefore, restitution is an open declaration of belonging to Christ. Understand this mystery about restitution. This mystery is to the effect that whilst salvation announces man to God being a moment of loud rejoicing in heaven (Lk.15:7, 10), on the other hand, it is restitution which announces God and godliness in man to all men in general.
Restitution is a special way of evangelising Christ and His divine nature. The act of restitution therefore gives us the opportunity to have a conscience void of offense towards God and toward man (Acts.24:16).

If therefore, salvation is the passport en route heaven, restitution is certainly the landing visa. And of course, the ultimate is sanctification which is the visa and the ticket to heaven combined.
Dearly beloved, do you know that failure to obey the doctrine of restitution may be the reason behind that delayed breakthrough? (John 15:7-10). What do you have to restitute my sister, my brother. Whom do you have to restitute to Sir and Madam?
Have you maligned or talked negative about men of God, Christian brethren or even persons of any nature, kind, colour and creed?

Have you cheated on your spouse? Have you stolen money or received bribes from and in your office? Have you snatched another’s man’s wife or another woman’s husband? Did you steal from your parents like Rachel in the Bible? (Gen.31:19). Have you shortchanged God in your tithes and offerings? Do you criticize people constructively or destructively?

There are some fellows who argue that restitution is not necessary. I hope such fellows don’t realize the truth at the gate of heaven when it would have been too late. If you argue that restitution is unnecessary, what you are invariably saying is that that part of the Bible is unnecessary.
Really! So, to you certain parts of the Bible have become obsolete? The reason for their argument sometimes is pitted on the foundation that restitution is a containment of the Old Testament.
But the divine statement that ‘I am the Lord that healeth thee’ is also contained in the Old Testament. Why do you uphold the healing Scripture and upturn doctrine contained in the same Old Testament? Besides, is Luke 19:8 and Matt. 5:23-24 not containments of the New Testament? What then is the basis of your argument? Or are you just seeking an avenue to justify yourself and avoid obeying divinely laid down rule?

Understand that all the doctrines of the Bible add nothing nor take away anything from God. They are all for our benefit. Therefore, pursue that which is beneficial.
Hear the divine counsel of God to you o brother, o sister in Deut.30:19 ‘I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live;’.
IN THE END, WHAT WILL YOU NOW DO? REMEMBER ACTS 5:29.

Question and Answer Section:
Question: Is your refusal to obey Bible doctrines a function of your hatred for your pastor or the author of this piece of Scriptural writing?
Answer: Hmmm!
