THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 4, No. 13 – Monday, 8th April, 2019
(Heb.12:14 compare with Psalm 115:3, John 14:1-6)
HEAVEN!
The inscribed knowledge passed onto us spanning almost countless generations inform us that heaven is millions of miles far above our heads. That inscribed knowledge equally informs us that heaven is the throne-room of the Almighty.
These conclusions are no farce as the content of Ps.115:3 informs. The problem with this inscribed theology is that it is not so complete. More troubling is the fact that its incompleteness leaves out a major component about the nature of heaven including the truest residence of heaven and the actual dwelling habitation of the controller of heaven.
When the Scripture informs that ‘we are seated with Christ in the heavenly places’, certainly and unarguably, that Scripture isn’t referring to the fact that our physical body is right now in heaven whilst we are yet alive. Absolutely not.
Rather, it is a much deeper mystery being enviced by that Scripture. Every human being is a composition of three things: the soul, the spirit and the body. At salvation (the first work of grace), what becomes born-again is our soul, not our body otherwise referred to as flesh.
Through out the period of our physical existence, the flesh and our born-again soul remains in perfect contest (Gal.5:16-22). As we yield to the inner voice of grace, our born-again soul gains strength over the flesh.
This continues until the flesh is finally subdued. The subduing of the flesh is a process made much easier through the second work of grace known as sanctification. Put together, there is one conclusion to be drawn from this spiritual thesis so far. It is the fact that the human soul otherwise referred to as the human heart is the heart of the matter.
Did not the Scripture state that we are the temple of God? Did not the same Scripture inform us that the Holy Ghost dwells in us and cries ‘Abba Father’ from within us?
If heaven is the throne-room where the Almighty reigns and dwells, if that throne-room is a part of a major building called the temple of God, if the Holy Ghost cries ‘Abba Father’ from within that temple, then that temple is the human heart also known as the human soul.
See very importantly the content of Deuteronomy chapter 23 verse 14 in the light of your human heart. Is that human heart of yours clean? Does heaven sojourn in our hearts? If not, today is the day to visit again the first work of grace earlier wrought in our lives at salvation.
The truth of the matter is this: when two electric live wires contact each other, there must be a sign of their contact. Why? Because the two recognize their oneness.
In like manner, if heaven truly dwells in a man, when the elevator of rapture descends to pick heaven-bound citizens, the Holy Ghost’s electric live wire in that spiritual elevator will certainly and undoubtedly connect with heaven’s signal resident in the soul of that heaven-bound citizen whether he be dead in Christ or alive in God.
The question of absolute concern is what is the state of my heart this moment? Is it heaven-bound or earthly-turned? Remember this my brother, life will not continue forever. Even if life goes on forever, remember my brother, you cannot live forever.
Death is a natural phenomenon. It will surely come. The brother you saw at the fellowship last week is merely a blossoming flower, nothing more. He may have faded away before the next fellowship day.
Do I hear you say God forbid? Yes I say Amen to that. But remember this that there are many things which do not respect age. Death is one surest among them all. Be prepared therefore that you are not left behind at rapture’s appearing.
Dear deliverance minister, Mr prophet, elevated evangelist, bigman pastor, brother G.O., are you performing miracles by means of dark powers? Remember that you are being hailed by men today, men who consider you to be a great Man of God. Those men will cry for you when your sinful soul roasts in the fire of hell.
Choir master! Choir mistress! Church members! Ministers in the vineyard of the Lord! Workers and every player in God’s kingdom! Hmmm!!! can we afford to forgo our seat in the streets of gold for any thing? Hmmm! heaven! Heaven! Heaven! The heart of the matter is a matter of the rightness of the heart at all times.
IN THE END, HE WHO WILL MAKE HEAVEN AT LAST MUST FIRST HAVE HEAVEN IN HIS SOUL WHILE HE IS YET ALIVE. HE MUST BE ONE WHO DOES NOT GIVE UP FOR DOING THE RIGHT THINGS AT ALL TIMES. HEAVEN!
