MAN’S OFFERINGS OF BLESSINGS TO GOD BEGETS RECIPROCAL BLESSINGS IN RETURN
A common saying by a tribe in one of the nations of Africa conclude that at all times when gratitude is expressed for the least done to one, a greater gesture will certainly be the reciprocation.
The fact remains that being thankful will keep one’s tank of blessings full. For nothing is better than expressed gratitude. King David, in the two texts that we have just read celebrated the Almighty God in a great way and in a grand style.
His celebration of the Holy One of Israel is without doubt an expression of appreciation not only of the worthiness of the Most High but also of the works of His arm through His marvellous works already wrought, being wrought and yet to be wrought.
There is a solemn and subtle lesson to be learnt from King David’s action in the two texts of today. His first wife’s name was Michal the daughter of former King Saul. Understand that although King David at this time had other wives; Nonetheless, Michal was his first love who was wickedly taken away from him by King Saul.
Understand also that this Michal was instrumental to David’s escape when Michal’s own father sent men to kill him (1 Sam.19:11-17). Undersand still that Michal the first wife of King David had five children for another man but not King David who was her first husband (1 Sam.18:27-28, 2 Sam.21:8).
Despite all these pains, King David celebrated God still before all Israel, not minding that his best love (Michal was childless for him). What will this ever mean? That at any gloomy season when man chooses to offer God special and quality praises out of righteous heart, God becomes glued to such a person and to blessing such a person at all costs.
So then, why don’t you put on your dancing shoes and celebratory songs in your mouth? For the brighter days of happiness and fulfilment are now here. Forget the delays! Your salvation is much nearer now than ever. You think that miracle will not happen? Believe me, it will happen.
A blind international lawyer had to wait for seven years to meet his wife in September 2012 after she was first promised to him in September 2005. A revelation of about seven minutes lingered for seven full years before being played out in reality. But did it fail in the end. NO!!!!!!!! So how will He fail in your own case? It is time to dance.
IN THE END, IT IS TRUE KNOWLEDGE AND A FACTUAL TRUTH THAT APPRECIATION IS A MAJOR TRIGGER OF GREATER BLESSINGS. FOR THE GIVING OF PRAISES OR EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE INSTIGATES GIVING FROM A RECIPROCAL END WHICH IS FROM GOD TO WHOM PRAISES WAS INITIALLY OFFERED.
