THAT SEED OF YOURS WILL BECOME A FOREST SOME DAY (Part 2)
The first text of today’s edition of The Message now in Galatians chapter 6 verses 7-8 reads as follows:
‘7 Be not deceived brethren, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he who soweth to his flesh will of his flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life’.
Less ultra sensory intuition will inform any man that the subject of sowing follows a two-paradigm dimension. Whilst the first paradigm points in the direction of encouragement to give as a mark of service of goodwill to humanity and to God, the other paradigm is of a completely bipolar tangent.
Having examined this first arm last week, it is onto this bipolar paradigmatic angle that today’s edition will now turn. One common maxim in this part of the world’s enclave opines: ‘the evil that men do lives on after them’.
Over the years, this maxim has been modified to now read that ‘the evil that men do lives on with them’. And, I must add, ‘after them too’. Kindly permit my harsh diction in this edition. The very factual truth is incontestable that the problem about evil men is in their thoughtlessness. How?
Whoever is a deep thinker will avoid sowing evil seeds. For it is common knowledge that any evil seed sown today without genuine repentance, apology and with restitution where necessary will attract severe consequences. The problem about the severe consequences is that the outcome of any evil seed is a forest of evil in return and not just the same evil seed sown.
The point is an obvious one: a grain of evil will attract an avalanche of troubles for the evil sower in the end. If this is the spiritual mathematical calculus, is sowing evil seeds a good business? It only begs common sense to align with the reality that sowing an evil seed to reap a forest of evil in return is an exceptionally bad business bargain.
What sort of seed(s) are you sowing? Do you sow hatred against other people and you expect to be loved? NO!!! Such a thought is at best hallucination. Please, return to the land of reality. I tell you a true account—the experience of a Man of God.
This Man of God was an accountant by profession. He was well respected in the local church in a nation in Africa. At some point, a committee came together to take a decision on increasing the salary of their most senior pastor.
This Man of God—accountant rose up and countered that proposal. According to him, their most senior pastor was not married any way, so why should his salary be increased? He forgot that their most senior pastor was always riding on his okada (name of motor-cycle in that African nation).
He forgot also that it was with this okada that their most senior pastor rode every Tuesday from Lagos to Benin city to take the church there on Bible studies. As an accountant in the late 1970s or very early 1980s, his opinion was respected and the increment to the pastor’s salary hit a brasen rock.
Years rolled on and this same local church promoted the Man of God—accountant and sent him to the United States of America as their National Overseer for America. Whilst in the United States, a turn of events arose.
A committee came together for the purpose of increasing the salary of the National Overseer. It was at that point someone called Bob arose and equally countered it. Unfortunately for the Man of God—then accountant now National Overseer, this happened at a time when he was in very bad financial shape.
Then he remembered what he had done years back to his most senior pastor, Apostle William Folorunsho Kumuyi. What are you doing against your friend, Christian sister or brother unknown to them?
Because your pastor doesn’t dress like the big pastors you see on television or because he has not got the sort of charisma and finesse and luxury cars like other Men of God, that is your reason for despising him/her? Are you being tutored to do evil, and you are assenting?
That coworker in the office, what evil concupiscence and untoward connivance have you or are you trying to stir up against that coworker? Dear mother, you are sowing the seed of child-preference! The future is keeping an account.
I know that parents are so swift to preaching the gospel of: ‘honour thy father and thy mother’. Hmmm! Parents do you also remember to preach the gospel of: ‘parents provoke not your children unto wroth’?
Mr husband, you claim the reason for swimming in that drowning waters of adultery is because your wife’s breast is now fallen. Who made it fall? Didn’t you know that her breast will eventually fall?
Isn’t the wise thing for you to do is make research on how to make it stand erect again? Foolish husband: why didn’t you ask yourself whether your own mother’s breast was still standing at the time you were born?
Did you ever hear your own good dad complain? Can’t you emulate him? Research, investigation and enquiry—making are the foundations of knowledge. Therefore, seek knowledge on how to make your good wife’s breast stand again.
It really can be back in its original position: don’t you know? Therefore, pursue that and stop that nonsense adultery. Otherwise, the evil seed you are sowing will one day come back to bite you very hard.
In sum, check your spiritual scale. Is that spiritual scale tilting to one end or is it balanced because of right standing? All that you are after is to short-change and mortgage the progress of your local church or office. You say, after all, I am not the founder or office owner. God is on the watch.
Hear what the Holy Scriptures said in Numbers chapter 32:23: ‘…..and be sure, your sin will find you out’. Today is another day to right the wrongs and to make amends. You can reorder your future today by simple humility, which leads onto repentance, apology or restorative justice where necessary.
Postponing it may not serve you any good interests. Remember postponing now for next is always the companion of never and the best friend of non-achievers. So would you do something now? Not next.
IN THE END, WHAT WOULD YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR? FOR THE GOOD DEEDS THAT YOU DID THAT SAVED SOME? OR IS IT FOR THE EVIL DEED THAT SPIRALLED INTO AN OCEAN OF TUMULTUOUS RETURN FOR YOU AND FOR GENERATIONS AFTER YOU? THE LONE ANSWER IS ALL IN WHAT YOU HAVE AND ARE SOWING NOW.

4. Angels of mercy, go out now and recover for me every lost time, turn, grace and glorious virtues.
5. My miracle time has arrived, I shall not lose any good thing again.
6. O bringer of good news, arrange that breakthrough for me and connect me to my appointed helpers.
7. O God, with the fullness of who you are, visit me and my home today.
