THE DETHRONEMENT OF THE ENEMY FOR YOUR OWN ENTHRONEMENT
One of the most difficult moments in any man’s life is the WAITING HOUR. One reason for the difficulty being the fact that man keeps wondering whether the waiting hour will ever come to an end. But it is even so far more difficult when men attempt to talk such other men out of their miserable moments of discouragement.
The plea of such men at such moments to the discouraged to look up and leave, and expect any bright day ahead, often falls on deaf ears. I have the authority to inform such discouraged ones that your waiting moments very soon shall expire.
Hear me: I am making no appeals or some sort of advice. By the strength of the Lord in me, I decree an abrupt end to your waiting hour, in Jesus name. The trouble and pursuit of Egypt and the Egyptians must necessarily end one day and at one point. Moses, the Man of God, by the Spirit of the prophet and the instruction of the Almighty brought that day into reality. In the same token, by the Spirit of the Lord, I bring an end to delayed miracles, healing and breakthroughs, in every life today, in Jesus name, Amen.
Two verses in today’s text strike very serious notes of great importance. Isaiah chapter 22:23 and 25 state respectively:
’23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.
25 In that day, saith the Lord of Hosts, shall the nail that is fastened to the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it’.
A close examination of these two verses indicates certain parallel facts. In the main, the two verses reveal:
- That the two verses address certain identical objects. For instance, it refers to ‘nail’ and the ‘fastening’ of such nail.
- That the positioning of the ‘nail’ in the two verses are not dissimilar. It is the ‘sure place’.
- That in terms of the addressees and targeted actions, the two verses are obviously in sharp contrast. And
- That one verse points to sure enthronement whilst the other announces a moment of perfect dethronement.
Without any ado, I dare point out that there is both a salient and a subtle mystery in the two verses. Saliently, Isaiah 22:23 is addressing the Christian willing to satisfy required spiritual conditions.
That condition is the condition of TIME. How? Notice that one verb common to the two verses is the verb ‘shall’. ‘Shall’ is a modal auxiliary verb of condition expressing an instruction, command or obligation to be performed in the future.
It is therefore only a matter of time. So then, it is safe to strongly assert that that which the Lord is promising in verse 23 and indeed in the previous verse will certainly come to pass in your life at the time appointed.
Believe me, not 1 second will be added to the time appointed by God.
Ask yourself the questions: does the enemy have the power to erase that which the Lord has written? If the enemy succeeds in so doing, doesn’t that action of the enemy make God a liar? And if God becomes a liar, tell me what then makes God different from satan?
Please compare the following Scriptures in answering these questions: Hebrews 6:18, 1 John 3:8, Numbers 23:19-23 and John 8:44.
Therefore, dearly beloved, only wait and enjoy your waiting hour.
Subtly speaking then, it means that God is training you in that waiting room and during this waiting hour of yours. Subtly still, considering the tone and theme of verse 25, it further means that God wants to remove all the obstacles that would affect the full enjoyment of your peace, comfort and greatness when it eventually comes.
Did not the Holy Scriptures state: ‘the blessings of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it’? (Prov.10:22). Understand dearly beloved that the waiting moment is equally a trying moment.
Your response to your waiting moment will tell God the extent of your elasticity in terms of patience. That patience with God will in turn determine two things: your spiritual weight and how far you will go with God.
Spiritual weight? What has this got to do with the waiting moment? Another way of describing any christian’s height of spiritual authority is his/her spiritual weight. The quality of any christian’s life in the eyes of the Almighty is determined by the submission of his/her heart to the will of God whether sweet or bitter.
That submission to the will of God for Isaiah was going naked for 3 years (Isaiah 20:1-3). For Ezekiel, it was the obedience to the divine instruction to eat cows’ faeces (Ezekiel 4:12-15). For Job, exit from the waiting-room did not come despite his brightening righteousness until he forgave and prayed for his friends who had spoken hurtful words to him during his waiting moment (Job 42:10).
Want to speedily escape out of the waiting-room of life? Then learn a spiritual lesson from the crash of Sadam Hussaine’s bunker during the Iraqi invation by allide forces in 2003. Facts have it that all efforts by the American forces to destroy Sadam’s bunker failed.
Indeed, the site www.cracked.com/article_17278_6-incredible-real-world-supervillain-lairs.html informs that 7 bunker busters and 20 cruise missiles were fired at the said bunker. But it remained in-tact.
What then was the wisdom adopted by the American forces? The site news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4642916.stm informs that the forces devised another means of entry by gaining access to the door leading into the bunker.
According to this source, it was an amazing feat of underground engineering, protected despite the destruction of the palace above the bunker. In the end, these amazing feat of engineering effort hit the height of astonishing success. The 6-inch thick, steel door was eventually cut through and access was gained into the bunker.
How does this apply in relation to your waiting-room experience?:
Learn to change your spiritual tactics of the mode of prayers and praying. Why? The reason is because, if the style of doing something is not working, it might be that such style requires a change or it might be that one needs further information.
Modify if possible or change the times and places of prayer and praying.
Investigate from the Lord (not from man) about the spiritual authority (pastor/prophet) exercising spiritual authority and shepherdship over you.
Change that pastor/prophet if the Lord does not confirm him to be His servant and genuine son.
Constantly but humbly question the Lord for the reason behind any problem or delay.
Never fail in asking the Lord for directions in every way and in every case.
IN ALL, A PURE HEART, READINESS OF MIND TO STICK TO GOD NO MATTER WHAT, PATIENCE AND AVOWED DETERMINATION ARE THE RUNGS (STEPS) ON THE LADDER WHICH LEADS TO THE GLORIOUS THRONE AWAITING YOU AT THE TOP BUT ONLY ATTAINABLE AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN TRIED AND FOUND TRUSTED.
Altar call: Backslidden – living in sin – needing fresh recommitment (say):
Christ Jesus, You are the Anointed One of the Most High. I come to you today as I am. In your mercy, help me out of my situation. Heal my soul, my spirit, my body, my life and my destiny. I acknowledge you as the only true lover of my soul. Please, deliver me on every side and save me through and through. I promise from the depth of my soul to be yours from henceforth, in Jesus name. Help me now O God. Be my Lord, my Saviour and my all in all from this day. Thank you Lord (read Psalm 54 in closing and pray more).
- Hymn: The Last Mile Of The Way
- O God, unseat every dark force and personality occupying my God-given seat and position.
- Father, establish and settle me on my divinely-ordained throne.
- You spiritual doors setting me back and locking me up from progress and testimonies, be broken down by the power of God.
- I take the key of my victory and testimonies from the hand of the wicked.
- I decree into your beautiful lives that every divine but conditional ‘shall’ will be turned by the mercy of God to assured and covenanted favourable realities, in the name of the Lord Jesus. Pastor Mike
