THE ERA OF A NEW ERA

 

A glorious, happy new year to everyone, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

On this maiden edition of ‘The Message Now’ in 2018, the Lord will have me inform you that everything you ever knew  and experienced as being evil is now history. It is the start of a new era.

The marked difference of this era is found in the newness of everything connected to it. Everything here means everything, including response to divine instructions, strict and consecrated followership, style and attitude of praying and of course God’s outpouring of  His manifold blessings in a new dimension.

Very frankly speaking, this is no joke. What good thing yet to be experienced in your life shall be displayed by the Almighty in full glare in 2018. This is the reason everything also must take a positive turn from you and me towards God in this  new year. Otherwise, repetition will mean sameness of the old year.

To obtain and enjoy the newness from God in 2018, stick strictly to the rules below. Be informed that these are not mere resolution which men often break at most by the month of February of the new year. Be informed further that these rules are further addendum to the prophecies already given about 2018.

Rule 1: Strictly avoid a lying tongue in this new year and for the rest of your life.

Rule 2: Be fervently committed to anything God-related this new year and do it without fear or favour.

Rule 3: Consistency of service in soul-winning, evangelism and follow-up is more than a necessity this new year. Let the Lord’s will prosper in your hands and your own work shall have the full breath of the Lord on it, in it and through it.

Rule 4: Avoid stress this new year by the best of your knowledge and ability. Whatever is not worth your time in this new year is not worth the expenditure of your energy (mental or otherwise) and money.

Sudden deaths shall occur this new year by the mere reason of stress. Hey! People of God, I just heard the Lord say in my ears: ‘cry out!’. So, I cry out to you dearly beloved, deaths through heart attacks and all sorts of unwholesome developments are springing out of the ground by the vision in front of me. And, these deaths and unwholesome happenings shall be caused by men giving themselves over to stress.

Why worry? Can’t you spend 1 or 2 minutes of prayer over that situation? Ah! are you aware that worry, discouragement, depression, anxiety, unnecessary care can enlarge your heart and liver?

It makes great sense that one dies a God-approved death and go to be with the Lord in paradise. Does it make good sense to die a nonsense death and before one’s God-appointed time? If that happens, who will carry on with your God-given purpose and destiny on the earth? Aren’t you aware that every man has his/her own destiny? So, who will burden himself/herself with the burden of fulfilling yours on your behalf? And, if your destiny is unfulfilled on earth because of a nonsense death, how shall your rest with the Lord be guaranteed (see Mat.25:1-30 esp. 24-30).

Rule 5: Develop your God-given talents this new year. Through it, the Lord wants to elevate you. Making further research about any already God-given skill or ability makes one better and far above his/her colleagues.

So, are you a caterer? Buy cookery books. Do not leave them on the bookshelf: read them. Take further courses on catering. Do you have a penchant for sowing, singing, handcrafts (designing, decoration-making, etc)? Get video camera, voice recorder, voice trainer and relevant tools and better your skills.

Above all, have you one talent? Don’t rely on it only. Develop a liking for some other talents and develop different ways of fine-tuning those talents. Is it a crime if the big boss in a government or private-pay-job decides to become a mechanic?

He/she who feels too big for a thing because it appears menial will end up achieving nothing. Throw away that pride and become an extra-terrestrial entrepreneur. Mr Pastor who cannot have a skill or thriving business. Don’t even General Overseers of churches and ministries have one thing or the other doing apart from their full-time service to God?

Mr lawyer! You mean you cannot have a cleaning company and take the contract of cleaning? What do I call that: it is bigmanism with empty pocket.

Rule 6: Everyone must have a registered company of his own this year. See if my God will not amaze you.

Rule 7 (from me not the Lord): Get an air-conditioned car this year. An air-conditioned car?! This pastor must be crazy. How do I achieve that with my meager income? By the way, why is getting not just a car but an air-conditioned car so necessary? See Rule 8 for answers.

Rule 8: Shake the nights and midnights vigorously this new year and everyday will fall as a prey to your divine feet. Keeping awake at night to pray and arising early to ‘contend … before the mountain’ requires certain conditions to be fulfilled.

Condition(a) in this new year, once it is 7 PM, avoid any heavy food and equally abstain from foods with pepper (i.e. chillies).

Condition(b) Retire to bed early for an early rising.

Condition(c) Buy and set up your alarm clocks for defined hours of the night in this new year, in which you must salute the Great I Am and contend anti-progress forces through the strength received from the Great I Am.

Condition(d) Cultivate the culture of strict discipline by obeying that alarm clock.

Condition(e) Always request the Holy Spirit to quicken your spirit-man and awaken your mortal body from sleep during every night in this new year.

Because the days are and will often be loaded with different activities: traffic on the road, etc, get and drive in an air-conditioned car for those living in the tropics like Africa and parts of Asia. I advise that those living in colder regions like north and south America, Europe, Australia, should get heater-fitted cars.

The reason is not far fetched. Heat during the day conditions the muscles of the brain and the body in an extraordinary way. This ends up oftentimes expanding the muscles unnecessarily. The implication therefore is that when one then arrives home in the evening when the day is at its cool, the muscles of the human brain and body automatically relaxes or contracts into a rest or sleep mode.

This is why most people in Africa in particular sleep-off as soon as their supper is consumed. Sleeping off immediately after meal is in itself a grave danger. For instance, obesity, voice-cracks for gifted singers, spiritual lethargy are oftentimes the result.

But if the brain and body systems have been kept cool by means of an air-conditioner from the office to the car and through the busy traffic, the brain and body are already adjusted to the coolness later at home at the close of business.

Therefore, except for the seriously indolent one, the muscles of the brain and body do not immediately relax after supper into sleep or rest mode. Rather, mental alertness will still remain active.

The same can be explained for those in colder regions. Keeping heater-fitted car through the journey home after the day’s business or through runnings-around during the day keeps the brain and body muscles at a balance required when real coolness of the evening begins back home.

If not, if the brain and body systems have been left at the same temperature of the cold day, then when you eventually turn on the heater at home later in the evening, the result is an automatic sleep-off.

IN THE END, KEEPING TO DIVINELY-GUIDED RULES CAN SOMETIMES BE VERY TEDIOUS ESPECIALLY AT THE OUTSET. BUT KEEPING TO THEM IN THE LONG RUN MAKES THE KEEPER THE FRIEND OF ONESELF AND ONE’S DESTINY NOT AN ENEMY (TO BE CONTINUED NEXT WEEK).
