THE IMMENSE POWER OF UNDERSTANDING
Every man has found himself at his present spiritual level, current achievement, progress, retardation or retrogression, failure or success because of his limited or expanded understanding. Consider the fact below as contained in Proverbs chapter 4:7. The verse under reference reads: ‘Wisdom is the principal thing. Therefore, get wisdom; and with all thy getting; get understanding’.
You mean despite wisdom being the most principal thing, there is still need for understanding? Ah! I concede therefore that if wisdom is the path to solution, understanding is the actual solution.
Do you know that the reason people’s spiritual lives are dry, low or stagnated may not be because they aren’t praying or fasting. It may just be a failure of understanding the word of God which they try to study. The lone reason why certain bad dreams come to pass in our lives is not because wisdom failed us as to remembering the dreams after we awoke. But because there was no understanding of the meaning. The lack of understanding of these dreams therefore triggered praying in the wrong direction.
Frankly speaking, without understanding, God’s hidden treasures in a man’s belly can never manifest. Men never get stuck in any sphere of life except when they become bereft of understanding. There is a revelational understanding needed by man in order for him to get closer to God, ascend the ladder of greatness and solve great mysteries and problems.
A riotous home is headed by a husband who lacks understanding. The woman or the wife who constantly nags may be so attractive but lacks understanding. I contend without any trepidations that a clear understanding of any stubborn situation turns that unpleasant situation from a stumbling-block to a stepping-stone.
I repeat again, we are where we are today because of our lack or lots of understanding of the situations, signs and mysteries of yesterday. Note: just as these three greats of faith, hope and love must be in the company of any Christian in order to please God and in order to make it to heaven at last, so also the three greats of knowledge, wisdom and understanding must accompany man in this present age in order for success to be attained and in order for one’s destiny to be fulfilled with effortless ease.
IN THE END, IF UNDERSTANDING IS LACKING,SOLUTION BECOMES A MIRAGE, AND EVEN PRAYERS CANNOT BE SO EASILY ANSWERED. THEREFORE, WITH ALL OUR SINEWS AND STRENGTH, LET US GET UNDERSTANDING.

Question: The great questions again! When was the last time that you preached to any soul? Do you serve God with joyful heart or with reluctance? How much hurt is in your soul against that fellow? Won’t rather forgive them and forget their mischief so that you can rightly serve your loving Father? When was the last time you smiled genuinely and truly from your heart about yourself bearing in mind the bright days to come? when was the last time you heard a force praying within your belly without your consciousness? When was the last time you gave something to support God’s work apart from your tithes and offerings? When was the last time you supported any man to fulfill a divine or a personal agenda? When was the last time you put smile on the face of someone?
Answer: Hmmm!
