THE MESSAGE NOW
Vol. 2, No. 30 – Monday, 24th July, 2017
Today’s message is for us to think about where we stand with God. Whether we believe it or not, the end is near and our Lord Jesus Christ is coming sooner than we think for his own.
Some of us may not have heard of him and are thinking who is the Lord Jesus Christ? John 3:16-18 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Now is the hour of salvation because tomorrow might be too late. The return of our Lord will be like a thief in the night.
God is calling you out of darkness now into his marvellous light. He is giving you another chance to come to him just as you are.
He said in Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
You might be thinking in your heart “but I have done many things that I don’t think the Lord can forgive”…for someone reading this message, be rest assured that God loves you.
When you give your life to The Saviour Jesus, behold old things are passed away and all things become new. He washes you in his precious blood from all of your sins.
His word says he that cometh to him he will in no wise cast out. Come to him just as you are and he will set you free and make you whole. All you have to do is trust in his saving grace. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your life and save you. Confess him as your Lord and Saviour. Believe that he died to save you and you are ready to follow him.
Salvation is personal brethren and we are reminded to walk out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).
What is your relationship with the Lord like? If you have accepted Christ Jesus and you are living in hidden sin that you think no one else knows, the Lord knows and he is calling you to return to him now.
Be not deceived brethren, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7). Having a personal relationship with the Lord is key to knowing him.
Many false prophets have gone into the world and the Lord warns us that if it were possible, even the very elect will be deceived. This tells us that our adversary, that old serpent is not messing about. He knows his time is short and he is determined to take as many people as possible with him.
We need to take on the whole armour of God, spend time in fasting and prayer and ask God to help us die to the flesh.”Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them”… (1 Corinthians 6:13a)
Seek the face of the Almighty God continually to strengthen us in our area of weakness and trust him to carry us through. Ask the Lord to search your heart and it’s reins and remove all that is not of him like the psalmist prayed in psalms 139:23-24.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
This is a message of reflection. The Lord is asking us to search ourselves and know where we stand with him. You can’t be lukewarm. You are either hot for the Lord or cold for him.Let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he falls (1 Corinthians 10:12).
Altar call: Backslidden – living in sin – needing fresh recommitment (say):Christ Jesus, You are the Anointed One of the Most High. I come to you today as I am. In your mercy, help me out of my situation. Heal my soul, my spirit, my body, my life and my destiny. I acknowledge you as the only true lover of my soul. Please, deliver me on every side and save me through and through. I promise from the depth of my soul to be yours from henceforth, in Jesus name. Help me now O God. Be my Lord, my Saviour and my all in all from this day. Thank you Lord (read Psalm 54 in closing and pray more).

- Recommit your life afresh onto God and cancel untimely death.
