THREE THINGS EVERYONE MUST DO AND MUST NOT DO IN YEAR 2018
Praise be to God for this particular prophetic edition of “The Message Now”. This penultimate edition begins on a note of very serious prayers. Therefore pray:
Common knowledge informs us about the numerical difference in years. For instance, whilst the year 2017 ends with the figure 7, the year 2018 does not. However, the difference in years stretch beyond the frontiers of numbers and figures.
Separate and distinct from numerical differences, spiritually speaking, years differ from each other in the condiments they contain. The condimental differences of each year further means that spiritual directions for each year widely differs.
Therefore, the incoming year 2018 shares similarity like every other year in monumental differences. Such monumental difference of 2018 is contained in its must do and must not do. Thus the unchallengeable reality is that there are certain things that must be done in order that 2018, the year of fulfilment and financial grace might have full essence and effect.
Meaningfulness of 2018 cannot see the light of reality except first there is resolute compliance with three spiritual (T’s).
The first (T) is trust in God and not in man. The holy Scripture in Jeremiah 17:5 states:
‘5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm and whose heart departeth from the Lord’.
Understand dearly beloved that the subject of trusting in God can more easily be commonised, misinterpreted, undervalued and unheeded. Ah! but not in the instance of the year 2018.
Hear this: the table set by the Lord in 2018 will be enjoyed on the platter of absolute trust. Understand further that without trust in God, even rendering normal and regular services to the Lord by so many will become an impossibility. This is so because any sacrifice be it in terms of service, giving of any kind, consecration or commitment is first and foremost a question sustained by trust. Should trust fail or be absent, then service, sacrifice and the likes are no more than a farce.
Indeed, I bring to your knowledge dearly beloved by the Spirit of the Lord the truth that firm trust in God is the sole currency for every spiritual transaction which will graduate into fulfilment in the new year.
The second (T) is time. Realising and maximizing the essence of time in 2018 is a must do. Again, the Scripture informs in Ephesians 5:16:
‘16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil’.
How so invaluable will be the service of time to as many who follow the path of diligence in 2018. Mark this dearly beloved, that events and happenings will move so swiftly that any one who is oblivious of the essence and effect of time will be left not just behind but far behind in the coming year. Therefore, ‘redeeming the time’ in 2018 means among other things: seeking to be informed and being informed, taking chances on time as they come and making the most of every minute.
Third is the divine call about talents. From the blink of the first hour of 2018, one thing the Lord is requesting from everyone is the task to realize, recognize and develop one’s God-given talents. In 2 Timothy 1:6 the Scripture states:
‘6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands’.
To every man is apportioned a measure of grace in a given area. The question is: what skill has grace endowed you with? Singing? Writing? Or perhaps craftsmanship of aesthetical type? Understand that until the skill in a man is revealed and tapped, that man’s stardom cannot be announced or attained.
Proverbs 18:16 states profoundly: ‘a man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men’. The transcendency from mere mortality to limelight and greatness is a journey that commences first from the pedestal of discovery. Self-discovery is the access code that translates any mere man from the crowd to a stand-alone God-made star.
If trusting in God, making the most of every moment and discovering and developing one’s talents are the must do of 2018, what then are the must not do? The must not do are the exact opposite of the must do.
This therefore means (1) never trust in man; the result of such in the new year will be tragedy and disappointments.
(3) Finally, talents are innate trade secretly embedded in man by God to be displayed for his eventual celebration. If one’s talents remain undiscovered and and unutilized, then one’s celebration is but a mirage at best. So, find out what your talents are and pursue their celebration. Their discovery and celebration will announce your greatness.
IN CONCLUSION, THE WORTH AND SUMMARY OF ALL MEN IS IN BUT THESE THREE: TRUST, TIME AND TALENTS.
