BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE MIRACLES
Happy Easter celebrations to everyone in Jesus name. I pray that the resurrection power of Christ Jesus will rest upon everyone of us in Jesus name.
Christ’s resurrection power will transform and translate all our lives to the next glorious levels in Jesus name, Amen.
Probably centuries ago lived an old wise man in old Scotland. The old man was so wise that his fame spread far and wide. But as often is the case with human involvement, detractors from the path of glory soon found reasons to bring the old wise man’s glory and stardom to ruin and rubbles.
One unfortunate day, two young men took counsel together to reduce the old man’s wisdom to mere folly. This evil plot began and indeed was executed in the end without the old man having offended anyone.
Does this alarm you? No! never be surprised at all. Men will always be men. It is a basic fact of life that whether you offend anyone or not, you will be envied for what you are and what you have.
The truth is that envious people are ever unwise. If only they are wise; they will realize that it is better to admire than to envy. Admiration of people’s success is a clear sign of maturity and large mindedness.
Envious people are small minded and blind. The actual spiritual disease envy inflicts on its victim is inferiority complex. Listen, at whatever time you sincerely sense that any one is manifesting superiority complexes in his/her character or disposition to you, the reality is that in their subconscious, inferiority complex is fully entrenched.
Inferiority complex is the companion of self-pity. Its offspring is depression and low self-esteem. Superiority complex is the product of pride and high-mindedness. Its only but sometimes unobvious offspring is destruction.
My counsel to you dearly beloved is:
(1) be the best of yourself always,
(2) admire genuinely and be glad at the achievement of others;
(3) shun and never partner with anyone who exhibits envy.
Such people are the very PA (personal assistants) and spokesman of satan; and
(4) at every time you see the success of others, rejoice with them and look forward to yours. Yours is certainly in the spiritual oven of the Almighty; it is being prepared. It will soon be ready. It is only a question of time.
Back to our story; on the said day, the two young men plucked off a small, young bird from the forest. Immediately, they hasted on their journey for the wise man’s residence.
Shortly before their arrival, one of the young men shut up the tiny bird in his palm.
Eventually on their arrival, they questioned: ‘o wise man, we know that you know that what we are holding is a bird. But tell us, is it alive or dead?’ The wise man looked at the two and smiled softly.
Then to their utter-shock, the wise man responded: ‘if you will, it is alive and if you will, it is dead’. At that response, the young man opened his palm and the bird flew off.
Their initial plan was that if the wise man said that the bird was alive, then they would squeeze the bird softly till it died in their palm. If he said the bird was dead, then they would simply open their palm and let it fly away. The wise man was informing the two young men that it was all a matter of choice.
What a lesson here about choice-making! The consequences of life at every stage is the result of choice. What choice would you make about the good desires of your heart. Would you rather go by the elevator of evil men, false prophets and satan or you will choose to go by the somewhat slow but divine stairs of the Almighty?
The point is an obvious one: it will appear that more than ever Christians are being confronted with a definite reality. It is the reality of choosing to remain in the waiting room of the Almighty or seeking miracles at all cost.
The thought of seeking miracle at any cost is the foundation and indeed the basic fulcrum for removing the Almighty out of the equation.
Before even our contemporary day, false prophets, false pastors and false miracles have been on the increase.
So it is no news. But there are a number of concerns which should sustain the attention of any serious believer.
On earth today, there are only two masters; each bidding for his own followers. The one you choose to follow determines your end. What do I mean?
Consciously or unconsciously, every pastor or so-called prophets are all under one covenant or the other. The covenant under which you operate is a spiritual authority which determine your end.
The saddest aspect of this covenant issue is the fact that most Christians do not know that by associating with any so-called Man of God, they are indeed submitting to a covenant.
Neither do they even know the very covenant to which they are attached.
As such, they cannot tell whether it is a covenant from the Master: Christ Jesus or that from the second master, the devil.
Frankly speaking, have you ever spoken to the Most High about the churches, fellowships, ministries that you attend? How about the person who lays hands on you?
As for you, the definition of false prophet is anyone requesting for your money before praying for you. Of course, no doubt, such is a false prophet indeed and in deed. But beloved, the issue of false prophets is far beyond physical things.
I know very popular prophets who populate their churches by simply using the glory and star of their members. The most distressing part of such spiritual wickedness is that whereas the user of his members’ glory is living larger than life, the owner of the glory is living in abject poverty and unable to make ends meet.
Am I now inviting you to a life of criticisms and suspicion? No! never. I am seeking to achieve two things. One is calling you back to effective praying and constant inquisition of all things from the Almighty God.
Two is a serious warning against false prophets and false miracles borne out of deceit. Are you even aware that if you are indeed genuinely born-again, your remaining in the waiting room may not be due to God’s determined time?
I expouse to you a mystery today by the grace of God that some of the delays Christians face is as a result of two different covenants clashing over them; that of Christ because they are his by salvation and that of the false prophet because of their association with him and his spiritual authority over them.
Please stop now and spend a few minutes in prayer:
I tell you there are almost no physical differences between genuine servants of God and counterfeits these days. Why? Because satan has transformed himself into an angel of light. Who is then to be trusted? No one but Christ.
Stories abound of Pentecostal pastors and prophets carrying out herbalistic practices and incantations. How about pastors and prophets sleeping with church workers and members?
How about pastors with unusual gifts of seeing most accurate visions? Yet it is by the spirit of sorcery. There are prophets with incisions on their tongues for the purpose of being able to prophesy and it comes to pass immediately.
What about the side effect? I know a prophet in Lagos state, Nigeria whose anointing comes from his wife’s witchcraft power. Beloved, after reading this message, are you going to refresh your commitment with the Lord Jesus and wait for Him no matter the painful wait?
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, your expectation in Christ will never be dashed. Christ is coming to help you. He will come.
Never fret. Fretting encourages running from pillar to post. Running helter skelter is key to the prevailence of false prophets and the thriving of false miracles which is often substituted with greater problems than the previous ones claimed to have been solved.
Stay with Christ and remain in Christ. God will not fail you; He has never failed once. God’s failure will never know a beginning. So, His failure cannot begin with you. The longer the delayed miracle the bigger it will turn out to be on delivery by the Most High.
CHRIST IS RISEN AND SEATED ON THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MAJESTY ON HIGH. BE EVER CONSCIOUS OF THIS ALWAYS.

I promise from the depth of my soul to be yours from henceforth, in Jesus name. Help me now O God. Be my Lord, my Saviour and my all in all from this day.
