WHO TOUCHED ME?
Man will continue to search for different methods of ensuring that his purpose of living is fulfilled. Many will device different strategies (either good or bad) of making life worth living. However, the choice of selecting ever lasting solution among various options is up to man.
The woman with the issue of blood for twelve years needed a touch for miracle, I pondered over how she has been living before she met the Messiah, a little hold on the hem of The Healer’s garment made her whole, the touch or contact was physical, what actually completed her victory was a spiritual transaction of FAITH. In our contemporary society, you and I have not seen Jesus with our eyes with the view to touching Him, but you can touch Him through your prayer, effectively backed up with faith.
King Solomon wisely nudged God with unusual sacrifice of twenty-two thousand oxen and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. How did he slaughter these animals? How many days, coupled with mammoth congregation? For a man to offer such sacrifice of different offerings, it means he wanted what he could not achieve alone; what will announce him and his glory to the world. No wonder there hasn’t been a man as wise as Solomon till now.
Read the ultimate outcome of Solomon’s sacrifice “And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and the supplication before me; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually”. 1 Kings 9:3.
Each time I read the sacrificial sacrifice of King Moab, which stated thus “And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not.
Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land”. 2Kings 3:26-27.
I’m always overwhelmed how the battle turned in favour of Moab, a people that God has sold in time past to the Israelites. I concur that the heart of the Offeree(someone that offers sacrifice) and the intention are of utmost importance to God as God carries out a complete check on the heart. How could God exchange battle against His covenanted Nation, is God bias? Absolutely No. Understand that the battle was too sore for the King, he had to offer his son that would’ve reigned in his stead.
What exactly is your mission on earth or i would rather ask are you comfortable with your life? What sacrifice would you offer to God? You can touch, contact or hold Jesus In various ways which are not limited to effective prayer, quality worship and praise, sincere evangelism, sacrificial giving, good offering and quality service to God.
IN THE END, WHEN YOU TOUCH JESUS IN VARIOUS WAYS THROUGH FAITH AND HE ASKS, WHO TOUCHED ME? THAT IS AN EVIDENCE OF AN ANSWERED PRAYER.
